Establishment of Einstein Association –

It is established and run by B. Sc. III students in Physics. The inaugural function

was carried out by Hon. Chairman Prof. Sharad Patil Sir on 12th Oct. He delivered

the speech on Challenges and Career Opportunities in Physics. Hon. Principal Dr.

C. T. Karande Sir guided the students about research awareness in Physics.

Different activities carried out by the association are:-

Arranged exhibition on 12th Oct. It includes poster presentation on the subject like

mars mission, Indias Chandrayaan Project, Big Bank Theory, All Nobel Prize

winners. Presentation of models like Agni 5, Chandrayaan, Robot etc.

Journal reading like Khagol, Bulletin of The Indian Association of Physics Teachers,

BARC Bulletin, Physics Education etc.

Collected and displayed paper cuttings on subject oriented articles.

Arranged seminars of students on different subjects.

2014-15

Einstein Association:-

This association is run by B. Sc. III Physics students. It’s inaugural function was

held on 19th Sept 2014 by Honorable Chief guest Prof. Dr. C. H. Bhosale, Ex-Head,

Dept of Physics, Shivaji University, Kolhapur. On the inauguration function

students in the association arranged different activities like Poster exhibition and

model exihibition, Research journal reading etc. The president and vice- president

of the association were Miss Beg Malika D. & Shri Jamadar Maruti.

Seminar and Group discussion activity:-

B. Sc. III Physics students deliver seminar on every Saturday during this academic

year and also arranged group discussion among them.

Sky Observation:-

On 10th August 2014 visualize “Supermoon” event with Celestron Research

Telescope.

In the remembrance of first death anniversary of Bharat Ratna, Padma

Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam, former President of India, Prof.

Shrikant Kokare delivered lecture about his life History on 27th July 2016

On 15th Sept 2016 Guest lecture was arranged on “Einstein Theory of Relativity”

by Prof. Walwadkar, Walchand College, Sangli.

Seven students in B. Sc. III class & Dr. Mrs S. C. Yadav, actively participated in one

day workshop on ‘Pioneer In Physics’ on 8th Oct 2016 organized by Arts,

Commerce and Science College, Palus and sponsored by IAPT (Indian Association

of Physics Teachers) .

Celebrated International Astronomical day on 7th October 2016. by displaying

posters related about astronomical events. Hon. Dr. D. P Nade , Professor Sanjay

Ghodawat Group of Institutions delivered lecture on history of universe.

On 19th Oct 2016 Prof. Dr. Vikas Mathe, renowned BARC scientist and Professor in

Physics, Savitribai Phule Pune University, delivered lecture on “Importance of Basic

science”. He also guided students about ‘career in Physics’.

Celebrated Birthday of an English theoretical physicist, cosmologist Stephen

Hawking on 8th Jan 2016. Hon. Prof. Sharad Patil Chairman of Yashwant Shikshan

Sanstha, Sangli delivered lecture on life history of Stephen Hawking.

Visit to Old age home: To make awareness about old age problem & to know the moral

responsibility, students in Physics department visited ‘Vrudhasevashram Sangli’ on

31st Dec 2016.

Study Tour:

Physics excursion-cum study tour of B. Sc. III students arranged during 9th Feb to 14th

Feb 2016 to visit Shravanabelagola ( Jain pilgrimage centre in South India), Mysore,

Bangalore ( Nehru Planetarium ) & Ooty (Tea Factory). The visit to various important

industries, historical and religious palaces broaden out-look of students. The

Vishweshwaraiah Museum visualised 3D show on Astronomical events and Biological

evolution system.

Prof. Shinde T. J., in Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil Mahavidyalaya, Urun Islampur has

delivered a lecture in the remembrance of second death anniversary of Bharat

Ratna, Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam, former

President of India.

Department of Physics successfully run a short term course on ‘Repairing &

Maintenance of Electronic Instruments’. Total eighteen students admitted for

course & got certificate.

On 24th August 2017, Thursday, Prof. Dr. Mansing V. Takale, renowned theoretical

physicist in Shivaji University, Kolhapur delivered lecture on “Career in Basic

science”. He also guided students about ‘Achievements in Physics’.

To make awareness about old age problem & to know the moral responsibility,

students in Physics department visited ‘Vrudhasevashram Sangli’ on 24th Dec

2017 and also donated amount of fourteen thousand to ‘Old Age Home’.

Study Tour:

Physics excursion-cum study tour of B. Sc. III students arranged during 22nd Jan

2018 to 25th Jan 2018 to visit Nehru Science Centre, Worli, Mumbai, Nehru

Planetorium Worli Mumbai.

Nehru Science Centre incorporates innovative ways to communicate science and

bring the developments of science & technology to the doorstep of common

people. The planetarium has been making learning Astronomy a pleasant

experience. It also has grown into a Center for scientific study of astronomy. Also

students enjoyed 3D scientific show on Evolution, Drastically changing liquid

Nitrogen properties etc. On last day we visit Sanjay Gandhi National

Park (SGNP), Borivali. It is a large protected area in the northern part

of Mumbai city & then visited to old Kanheri caves sculpted out of the rocky cliffs

which lie within the park.

Visualised ‘Lunar Eclipse Event’ to all students in high schools & Mahavidyalaya in

Miraj Sangli premises.

Visit to Science Mela at Nav Krishana Valley:

The Science Fair titled as ‘Wonders of Imagination’ was organized by ‘Nav

Krishana Valley School & College’, & is conducted by ‘Agastya

International Foundation’ during the period from 19th to 22nd April 2018.

Theme of this fair was “To ignite the Scientific minds of students”. As per

the guidance of Hon. Prof. Sharad Patil Sir, Chairman YSS, B. Sc. III Physics

students along with HOD Madam Dr. Mrs. S. C. Yadav, Miss. Amruta

Inamdar Madam in our Mahavidyalaya visited this fair on 21st April

2018.

At the entrance of this school we all have done registration. When we

entered we noticed that the main purpose of this science fair is to inspire

the students to ignite the interest of science and exchange them and

encourage them to participate in it and discover new innovative things.
