Electronic Racing Suspension (ERS)The Electronic Racing Suspension (ERS) takes data from the 6-axis IMU, enabling its Suspension Control Unit (SCU) to makeadjustments to the fork and shock settings. By adapting toconditions, the ERS enhances stability during braking byreducing fork diving - as well as giving improved control andincreased traction when exiting corners.

Communication Control Unit (CCU)The Communication Control Unit (CCU) has a data loggingfunction that allows riders to record a wide range of running data,including lap times, speed, throttle position, GPS tracking, leanangle and more. It can also be used to communicate with theYamaha Ride Control (YRC) system when viewing, downloading orchanging the running modes.

YZR-M1-derived carbon bodyworkWith its central forced air intake and high screen, the R1M'slightweight carbon bodywork has an unmistakable M1 race bikesilhouette. Compact LED headlights are 'hidden' either side of the airintake to emphasize the race DNA, while twin LED position lightsgive this superbike a truly unique face.

M1-derived 200PS crossplane engineThe R1M is powered by a 998cc crossplane 4 cylinder 4-valve enginethat develops 200PS - without ram air pressurization. Derived from ourwinning YZR-M1 MotoGP bike, its crossplane crankshaft gives an uneven270° - 180° - 90° - 180° firing sequence for high levels of linear torque.
