The students in the Berkner Learning Community will have the opportunity to visit and utilize it in the near future. Parents, students, community members, and even pets can hold membership in the Yale PTA. Help us have a voice that represents every child on our campus. The Yale PTA is close to achieving the Voice for Every Child recognition. It’s easy to join. Just go to joinpta.org and select Yale Elementary. November is National Diabetes Month and World Diabetes Day is celebrated every year onNovember 14 in honor of Dr. Frederick Banting’s discovery of insulin. In 1921, Dr. FrederickBanting treated the first Type 1 diabetic. Prior to 1921, there was no cure for Type 1 diabetes.He won a Nobel Prize for his work in 1923.
