XMA offers recycling services for print supplies adopting aunique cradle to grave approach which minimises yourimpact on the environment.

Once supplies are purchased from XMA and used, XMA willcollect the empty cartridges and packaging and return themto our recycling partner. The empty cartridges are allinspected and re-used where possible - if some parts are notable to be re-used then these and all the packaging is thenrecycled. A returns report is compiled for you which detailsthe weight and amount of cartridges returned, which canthen be used to offset against your own carbon footprint.

This is a simple print supplies collection process yet thebenefit to you is vast; reductions in your carbon footprintare measured for you. As pressure on you to report yourimpact on the environment increases XMA’s solution helpsto make this process much simpler.

Disposing of old ICT equipment or simply unused printcartridges doesn’t need to be a headache for you. XMA workswith a number of partners including Remploy, to collect, re-use or dispose securely of ICT equipment and print supplies.

With our partners, XMA provides a solution that is secure,environmentally sound and in many cases, can create anadditional revenue stream. Our partners can recyclevirtually any IT asset - from servers to printers, storagedevices to PCs - regardless of the manufacturer.

There are a number of options available for the recycling ofequipment; our partners can refurbish your existingequipment to re-deploy for less demanding operations, theycan re-sell any valuable assets to other organisations or theycan help manage the re-sale to your own staff. Alternativelythey can arrange for the equipment to be donated to charity.

This economically and environmentally sound disposalservice complies with the European Commission’s Directiveon Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)so you can be sure by working with XMA you are meetingyour legislative requirements.

Simply by consolidating hardware and supplies orders withXMA you can reduce transaction costs on invoicing and byconsolidating your stock orders you can reduce the numberof orders placed, thus increasing efficiency and reducingwastage. We already deliver to you re-using manufacturerpackaging either as outer boxes or shredded for addedprotection, ask us to deliver your small orders in 100%biodegradable bags which will further reduce yourenvironmental impact.

Our inkjet cartridge recycling process uses recycled plastics from our own products and from other sources (minimum 95% post-consumer) in the production of a wide range of new, Original HP inkjet cartridges.

Through 2008, we manufactured more than 565 million inkjet cartridges using post-consumer recycled plastics as raw material. For those inkjet cartridges that use recycled plastic resins, 30 to 75% of the cartridges’ new moulded plastic housing is made from recycled plastics1.
