For good and very easy indoor location determination beacons are required. With the use of beacons we are able to indicate were My-Bodyguard is located (in which room and on what floor) during an emergency.

To find out if this applies to you and how many beacons are required at your locations we can make a proposal. To do this we need a plan (evacuationplan) of the company.

Beacons can only be used in combination with the My-Bodyguard PRO II or X-Trace.

X-Button

The X-Button is a remote control for the My-Bodyguard PRO II and X-Trace. You don’t want to have My-Bodyguard always with you? Then you’ve got the option to place the My-Bodyguard on a fixed location (or permanently build the X-Trace in your car). To raise alarm you can simply press the button on the X-Button, this will activate My-Bodyguard PRO II or X-Trace. You can do this over a maximum distance of 20 meters.

I-ButtonReader and I-Button

The idea behind the I-ButtonReader is a cheaper alternative for the beacon. With the use of beacons the determining of the locations are done automatically. When you choose for the concept with the I-ButtonReader, the locations have to be transmitted to My-Bodyguard PRO II manually. This can be done using I-Buttons. Their must be an I-Button mounted at the entrance of every room and/or location. When entering and leaving a location you have to read the I-Button using the I-ButtonReader. This way you will give your location the your My-Bodyguard or X-Trace.

Software

We can provide software that we can give three different settings: 1. As software for transmitting alarms 2. As software for live tracking of your vehicles 3. As management software

Alarms: To receive Alarm calls in your emergency post, we have software that allows you to get a link with the emergency as an annex. In case of an emergency there will be a pop-up screen and an audio signal will be played.

Live Tracking: For logistical purposes you can also use specific software to view all your vehicles at the same time on a big screen.

Management Software: To manage your own units and settings.

This software will be installed by us on a PC made available by you.

The requirements for the PC: - PC with Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7 - At least 1GB free disk space - A screen with a resolution of at least 1280 * 1024 pixels is recommended.

Android Applications

Agenda Link

Locatie Pass On

A link is made with the persons agenda. If the calendar is maintained properly it can be determined from this where the person is located. The location of the current appointment is given to the emergency center when an alarm is raised.

An application can be installed on a phone with Android or an iPhone. Through this application, the location can be selected from a list or typed in manually. The time your on location is also filled in. For example: Now (8:20) until 9:30. This location with time is shown during an alarm to the dispatcher and passed to the emergency crew.

Page 16: X-Guard Catalog

16

Own Site Locationsenclosed areas

To check this, go to the website “www.google.com/maps”. For this example, we searched for the address, “Wegdam 1” This is subsequently shown on the map with a red marker. (The yellow shaded area is the actual Wegdam 1 plot)

For the emergency center it is essential that the correct information reaches the rescuer as soon as possible. For enclosed areas, eg within fences, standard maps lack the right address, they must be separately added to our database.

You can check this with your own home or building:

By clicking on the map with your left mouse button. Google Maps will predict what the addres under your pointer is. It will show its prediction in the top left corner.

This often does not correspond with reality as you can see in the example. The address must be Wegdam 1, but it appears as Het Assink 8.

Page 17: X-Guard Catalog

17

As you have seen the address into Google maps differ from reality. During an emergency situation we want to have the emergency services on site as soon as possible.

Outside the location of the person of need is determined using GPS. We have here two types of locations. The person could in fact on a rooftop or somewhere next to or between buildings.

We can add these areas with name and address to the database. For example: Roof Storage, Parking lot 1, Garden, etc.

Below you can see the building of HEBO (on the Eeftinkstraat 4), their outside areas and rooftops are all added. The red areas are the rooftops with corresponding names and the colored areas are outside areas with the corresponding name.

If then at the location of HEBO an emergency call is made the dispatcher will see: Eeftinkstraat 4, 7496 Hengevelde, NL - Parking lot 1. This information is also sent via SMS and / or email to the rescuer.

The adding of closed areas will cost:

Up to 5.000 m2 € 124,- Up to 20.000 m2 € 493,-Up to 10.000 m2 € 247,- Up to 30.000 m2 € 739,-

Custom Maps

It may in some cases be necessary to see a detailed map of the business or terrain in the receiving software of you station. This replaces the road map or satellite images from Google Maps.

Road Map Satellite image

Detailed Terrain Map

Below you see the same location three times. This shows the big differences.

As with normal maps it is also possible to zoom in on custom maps for added detail up to room level.

You can also opt for the addition of a grid on top of the map for extra clarity. This is described on the right page.

Page 19: X-Guard Catalog

19

Below is an example of a custom map with a grid (and compass) on top of it.

A grid on the map may in some cases be faster and easier. For example, if the location is transmitted via a telephone / radio. You can then easily and quickly relay the alarm is coming from “southeast (or bottom right) N7”. The other person then quickly looks at the map and immediately know where he / she should be.

Adding custom maps cost:

Up to 5.000 m2 € 1026,- Up to 20.000 m2 € 1539,-Up to 10.000 m2 € 1283,- Up to 30.000 m2 € 1796,-

20

Adding Addresses

For the emergency center it is essential that the correct information reaches the rescuer as soon as possible. When the person in need is outside the location isretrieved using GPS.Often the addresses indicated by a mapping system are not correct. Especially in townhouses is no number listed, let alone addresses with additives such as a, b or c.

An example of a practical situation:

In healthcare, patients are often visited at home. The user goes to Mr. Smith at the Sample Street number 14. The last GPS position is displayed on the street were house number 14 is located. During an emergency alarm this position is send to the dispatcher, who cannot exactly see where the user has gone inside. By setting specific address information about house number 14, including the details of the customer / resident in our database we can provide more detailed information. During an emergency alarm the dispatcher will automatically see this more detailed information about the specific location. This information can also be send to the rescuer by sms or email.

Page 21: X-Guard Catalog

21

Another example:

A truck driver who is driving a set route every day visits McDonald’s Address Het Plein 50 in Hengelo. During an emergency message Het Plein 50 in Hengelo is then shown to the dispatcher. But for the rescuer number 50 on Het Plein is virtually untraceable. By adding “McDonald’s” to the address it becomes a lot easier to spot. When an alarm is raised the dispatcher will be shown all the important information, ‘Het Plein 50, 7559, Hengelo, NL - McDonald’s “. This is also sent via SMS / email.

This applies to almost all kinds of public buildings such as schools, retirement homes, hospitals, banks, etc.

Het Plein - Hengelo

Adding addresses up to a specific ammount:

Up to 50 € 104,- Up to 200 € 412,-Up to 100 € 206- Up to 300 € 616,-

Functioning Report

U have the option to receive an email containing a report of proper functioning and usage. This is a table containing information of sertain units over a specific period. (you can select the units and period yourself). U can also choose to automatically receive an daily or weekly report by mail.

Below is an example of a proper functioning and usage report:

The legend shows three colors. The blue ‘In Use’ bar shows the period when the unit is being used. This is the moment the unit is unplugged from the charger until it is being charged again.

The green “Uptime” bar indicates the functioning of the unit. If it is completely closed, it means that the unit has properly operated for 24 hours. A red break in the line may mean that the battery of the unit was empty or there was no connection with the GSM network.

If “Uptime” shows a grey bar this means the unit has not send any data yet. The unit has nog been used yet.

The example shows that the My-Bodyguard ‘Service 1’ has never reported. The ‘Service 2’ unit has worked properly for the entire week. We see a break on 22-12. Here, the unit was temporarily unable to connect to the network.

Page 23: X-Guard Catalog

23

GSM-Repeating

My-Bodyguard uses the GSM network to send the emergency messages. It is therefore important that there is good GSM coverage at all locations where the user is, outside and inside.

For areas with poor GSM coverage it is wise to have a GSM-repeater. We work with GSM providers that use a 900MHz frequency for GSM calls, SMS and GPRS (2G). The repeater captures this signal strengthens it and subsequently sends it out again, giving you a better reception.

There are four types of repeaters available, for strengthening areas of 500 m2, 800 m2, 1500 m2 and 2500 m2 (maximum coverage of a repeater under favorable conditions).

Below you can see an example:

Prices for the individual GSM-repeaters on request.

Page 24: X-Guard Catalog

24

GPS-Repeating (Long range)

My-Bodyguard is using GPS to determine its position outside. If the unit is brought inside the last current position will expire. When you go outside after the fix is lost it will take longer to get the current position. (the same as for a navigation system in the car). To prevent this, we offer GPS repeating.

With this system, the unit can also receive GPS inside so the position remains current. The next time the unit is taken outside My-Bodyguard can almost immediately get a good position fix.

GPS repeating operates on the same principle as GSM repeating but without a second boost repeater. Antennas are being placed outside and inside the building. The small black antenna can easily be hidden eg. above the ceiling.

The indoor antenna has a maximum range of 10 or 30 meters depending on the model.

See the image below for an example setup,

Prices for the long range GPS-repeaters on request.

Page 25: X-Guard Catalog

25

GPS-Repeating (Short range)

For more information about placing the antennas you can download a instruction page here: www.x-guard.nl/en/downloads.html

The price for this complete set including mounting for the receiving antenna

In contrast to the other repeating set the receiving antenna of this set can easily be placed on the inside of the window. This solution is easier in use because there is no need to drill holes and lay cables to place the antenna outside. The downside is that this set has a smaller range up to 1.5 meter.

Here you see a picture of the receiving antenna in the corner of a window with the cable nicely hidden.

The antenna is directly plugged into the wall socket near the recharge area of My-Bodyguard.

If the small light on the send antenna burns red My-Bodyguard will always keep an current GPS position, provided that My-Bodyguard is in a radius around the send antenna of 1,5 meters.
