Event Information Marching Band

Space will be available on both the East (Home) and West (Visitors) side of the field for bands. The space will only be available to a band while its school is playing. It is important for each band to pack up their belongings and move from this space as soon as their game is complete. School Administrators and the WHSAA will need to assist clearing this space. Upon arrival to War Memorial Stadium please have your bands enter through Gate #6

Bench Assignments / Information

The higher seed will be designated the Home Team and their bench will be on the East side of War Memorial Stadium. The lower seed will be designated the Visiting Team and their bench will be on the West (press box) side of War Memorial Stadium.

Sideline heaters will be provided if teams want them. Please request the heaters in advance.

Bus Parking

Please see attached sheet describing bus drop off location and parking areas.

Cheerleaders

Cheerleaders and their coaches will be assigned to the same side of the field as their school. Cheerleaders must enter the Stadium in uniform and together through Gate #6. Please read and observe WHSAA regulations in regard to cheerleading.

Coaches Booth

A coaches spotting booth will be available for both the Home and Away team in the Press Box. Teams are required to bring their own headset equipment. Credentials will be necessary to access the Press Box and will be provided to teams by the WHSAA.

Filming

Space will be available for one filmer per team on the camera deck in front of the press box on the Upper West Side of the stadium. This is an outdoor space, please have filmer dress accordingly. Filmer will need to have a credential to access the Press Box. This pass will be provided by the WHSAA.

Hotels

All teams qualifying for the Wyoming High School Football Championships are responsible for making reservations at their preferred lodging property in Laramie for their official traveling party. The Albany County Tourism Board staff can provide contact information for each property as well as assistance if needed by calling them at 307-745-4195. All lodging properties information in the Laramie area can be found on the Tourism website at visitlaramie.org/accommodation/where-to-stay/.

Hospitality

A hospitality area will be available to designated persons in the Press Box. All WHSAA Board Members, coaches, administrators and game officials with proper credential, will be allowed to enter. Lunch will be served both Friday and Saturday.

Locker Rooms

Please see attached schedule of locker rooms. Teams will have access to their locker room 2 hours prior to their game, dependent upon completion of previous game. Post-game teams will be required to shower and vacate the locker room as soon as possible so it can be cleaned and prepared for the next game. Towels and drinks will be provided. Programs will be provided to each team prior to their game.

Parking

Fan parking will be available in the following lots: Stadium, Indoor Practice Facility Lot, D Lot, the Summit View Lot and the Express Lot. All parking is free. See attached parking map for the location of each lot.

Accessible parking is available in the following lots: D, Heritage Center Lot, FA Lot and S Lot. Please have state-issued blue placard displayed.

The D Lot will be available for WHSAA staff and Board of Directors in addition to game personnel and media.

Post-game Snacks

The Albany Country Tourism Board will provide post-game snacks from Q’doba to all teams. The snacks will be distributed in the lobby of the Indoor Practice Facility where busses will drop off and pick up. Your team host can give you directions to this area if necessary.

Practice Times / Locations

Teams will have access to the Indoor Practice Facility for warm-ups approximately 90 minutes prior to their game. See attached schedule for times. Home Team will be on the East side of the 50 yard line and the Visiting Team will be on the West side of the 50 yard line.

If you would like to set up a practice time at another location prior to your game please contact your team host to help coordinate practice times. Laramie High School will have limited practice locations available, to contact LHS please call Jeremy Qualls at 307-721-4427. Practices will not be granted in War Memorial Stadium or the Indoor Practice Facility.

Ticket Information

• Seating

o All General Admission – Lower East and West

East – Home Team West – Visiting Team

o Seats will be reserved in specific areas for the school bands • Wildcatter Seating

o The prices for the Wildcatter seats will be the same as last season which is $30/day or $50/session. Our concession folks will sell food up there like they have in the past.

o They can contact our ticket office at 1-877-WYO-FAN1 to purchase tickets.

Training Facilities

The Laramie High School training staff will be the main athletic trainers on site during the Championships. Training Facilities will be available to teams in both the Rochelle Athletics Center and the Fieldhouse Training Rooms. These facilities will be opened and monitored by UW Athletics Staff. Teams will be responsible to provide normal athletic supplies such as tape and pre-wrap for themselves.

EMTs will be on-site during each game of the Championships and will be stationed in the North-West corner of the field.

Ivinson Memorial Hospital in Laramie is the closest hospital to the Stadium. It is located at 255 N. 30th Street and their main phone number is (307) 742-2141.

Trophy Presentation

Trophy presentations will be made in the North and South ends of the stadium. The winning team will move to the South end-zone (Video Board side) and the losing team will move to the North end-zone following the conclusion of each game. Trophies will be awarded in these areas.

Uniforms

The designated Home Team will wear dark jerseys and the Visiting Team will wear white jerseys.
