Plan, Sheet,Detail Response

1 PVT 8/5/2021 M103Specification is provided in Addendum No. 1.

2 PVT 8/5/2021 00 52 13

West Yost recommends setting the Time for Completion at 36 weeks. Owner will make a final determination and issue revised Div 00 specs as needed.

3 PVT 8/6/2021 S100, M103 Shelter shall be 9' x 14'. Concrete pad shall be 10' x 15'. See revised drawings in Addendum 1.

4 PVT 8/6/2021 M103The pressure relief valve shall be a 1-inch valve and 1" x 2" reducers shall be installed upstream on downstream of the valve to connect it to the 2-inch piping. See revised drawings in Addendum 1.

5 PVT 8/6/2021 M103

Motorized valve shall be provided by grinding & screening equipment manufacturer. Specifications for motorized valve are in Section 11331-2.07.B.1. This specification section is referenced on the revised drawing M103 in Addendum 1.

6 PVT 8/6/2021 S102, M101Posts shall be 3" Sch 40 SST. See revised drawings in Addendum 1.

7 PVT 8/11/2021 00 41 43There was no contrator pre-qualification for this Project. This question shall be deleted from the Bid Form.

8 PVT 8/11/2021 09960 M102 Yes, the existing coating should be removed in areas where the new grout and rebar dowels will be installed prior to installation of the new grout and dowels.Yes, the new concrete grout sahll be coating with Coating System No. 30 specified in Section 09960

In Article 4 of the BID FORMS (Page 32), there is a question titled "Changes Occuring Since Prequalification". Was there a contractor prequalification required for this project? If not, please remove this question from the bid forms.

The Plan View on Dwg. M102 states the "(E) Channels have an H2S Resistant Coating on them" . Does the existingcoating need to be removed prior to installation of the new rebar dowels and corner grout? In addition, it appears the intent is to coat the new concrete corner grout with Painting System No. 30 (Spec. Section 09960). Please review and confirm.

Section A on Dwg. S102 indicates 1.75" OD Aluminum posts with safety chains. Detail 1 on Dwg M101 indicates these posts are 3" Sch 40 SST. Please confirm which is correct.

Question

Section J on Drawing M103 references Specification Section 05525 for the 8' x 14' Equipment Shelter. This specification is missing from the bid documents. Please provide a specification for the shelter. The Time for Completion listed in the Contract (Section 00 52 13) is 120 Calendar Days (Approx. 17 weeks). This does not appear to be adequate time for completion of the project due to the time required for the following:1. Contractor issuance and negotiation of Equipment PO's & Electrical Subcontract.2. Major Equipment and Control Panel CP-1 Submittal preparation time.3. Submittal review and approval time.4. Equipment and Control Panel Procurement after submittal approval5. Equipment Installation, Startup and TestingHas the City confirmed the submittal preparation and equipment procurement lead times with the manufacturers of the Grinding Screening System (11331), Rotary Lobe Pumps (11395), Automatic Self Cleaning Filters (11402), and Control Panel CP-1 (16010)? It appears that an additional 14-20 weeks may be required to complete the project.

Drawing S100 indicates the Concrete Slab for the Water Pump and Automatic Filter measures7'-6" x 15'. Section J on Drawing M103 indicates the Shelter that sits on this slab measures 8' x 14'. Please review and confirm the required length and width of the concrete slab.Section G on Dwg. M103 details a 2" Pressure Relief Valve. Note 2 Calls out a ClaVal 55B-60 or Equal pressure relief valve. Based on ClaVal's literature, the 55B-60 valve is only available in 1/2", 3/4" and 1" sizes. Is the intent to reduce to 1" on each side of the PRV, or is there another valve desired?

Please provide a specification for the motor actuated 2" Ball Valve shown in the plan view on drawing M103 (Labeled "MOV~21" on Dwg I100). We are unable to find an actuator specification in the bid documents.
