WHAT IS WUNAN?
‘Wunan’ describes a traditional ritual of Aboriginal people of the region where
effective trade occurs. The meaning also encompasses caring and sharing.
In today’s language, ‘Wunan’ translates as ‘socially responsible enterprise’.
The East Kimberley is sometimes referred to as the ‘Wunan Region’.
