The scenic spots of Wuhan

Wuhan, a city located in the east of Jianghan Plain, the central area of China. The Yangzi River and Han River cross here, two rivers divide Wuhan city into three parts. For its core geographic location, Wuhan combines the culture of the south and the north, has many natural as well as historical scenic spots.

The first cherry blossom was planted by the Japanese during the Anti-Japanese War, up to now it has became a symbol of Wuhan University. People flock to the cherry blossom garden in Wuhan University to enjoy the fantastic scenery.

Yellow Crane

There is no doubt that Yellow Crane tower is the most wonderful and charming spot in Wuhan, and one of the most famous tower in China. It is first built in 1700 years ago.As many as 300 poems about the tower had been found in historical literature. Cui Hao, a famous poet made it well known throughout China with his poem "Yellow Crane Tower”.

The Guiyuan temple

The temple was first built 1658, is one of the four biggest temples for Buddhist meditation in Hubei, also an important Buddhist temple for the country. Around the temple are plenty of trees and clear spring. You can come and feel its silent beauty in the early morning.

Hubu Lane 户部巷Hubu Lane is one of the most famous streets in Wuhan with over 400 years of history. The 150-meter long street is crowded with various kinds of stores, including snack stalls, shopping and entertainment. It has become Wuhan's official ‘snack street', containing 160 stores selling 170 types of breakfast foods and snacks. In here, you can try authentic Re Gan Mian(hot-and-dry noodles), Fried Tofu Skin and shaomai (Steamed Pork Dumplings).

hot dry noodles can be found throughout Wuhan as the noodles are popular with locals during every season of the year and eaten for breakfast, lunch, and dinner or for even just a snack.It is really delicious.

Sanxian doupi三鲜豆皮

Sanxian doupi is Hubei's answer to lasagna. The traditional breakfast from Wuhan is made with a delicious stuffing, a mixture of soft glutinous rice, egg, mushroom and pork, tucked into two pieces of tofu skin and then pan-fried until golden brown.

duck's neck or yabozi is a local version of this popular Chinese dish,made of duck necks and spices. Mianwo(面窝)is a kind of doughnut with salty tast,it's much thinner than common doughnut, and is a typical wuhan local food.
