Welcome to Brazil &São Paulo!

The WSYA is a powerful channel of transformation, by bringing to-

gether young entrepreneurs and social activists dedicated to the same goal: to

solve complex problems that afflict vulnerable populations in various parts of

the world.

Dataprev, IT company which is also committed to support social programs,

believes and pays close attention to the creative potential of these young peo-

ple who have natural affinity with the information technology and want to

build a better future for all, two great features.Rodrigo Assumpção President, DATAPREV, Brazil

Welcome to the Youth Award Festival in Sao Paulo!

You are joining most outstanding young people from around the world who cre-

atively harness the power of modern ICTs to transform society for the better.

They demonstrate unique entrepreneurship and social impact. This festival will

provide participants with unique insights on how Internet and Mobile can be

used not just for diversion and entertainment but for solving real issues and of-

fering concrete solutions thus contributing to the achievement of the United

Nations Development Goals.

ICTs have the power to facilitate socio-political participation and in-clusion on an internatsional and country level. Young people are key to harness exactly this power by creating innovative and socially relevant projects. Having been a partner of the World Summit Awards for many years, we are ex-cited to see the Youth Award coming to Brazil in 2015 where we will take the world’s best to a global stage.
