The existing culvert does not meet current installation guidelines for culverts on fish migratory streams. It restricts the free passage of salmon and other species that try to reach the upper sections of Little Bear Creek. They are under federal court order to replace this culvert and 800 others throughout the state. On Tuesday night, WSDOT staff will give a presentation on the options considered in replacing this box culvert and the traffic impacts of each option. WSDOT is planning to start construction of this project in 2015. ALTERNATIVES: 1. To receive the presentation and provide comments to WSDOT about proposed traffic control and detours for the Little bear Creek Culvert Replacement Project. 2. Request additional information.
