Washing of a car

Washing and cleaning is a process that is veryimportant in maintenance of variousmachines. While washing the car by hands it

tends to be a exhausting process withrepetitive and tiring jobs to be done again andagain.

So, today we have analyzed the steps involvedand proposed a new idea for making thisprocess easy and more efficient.

Assumptions

We assume the car is parked 20 meters awayfrom the garage. Garage is the place from wherewe can get everything needed.

The car is parked in such a way so that he hasplenty of space around him to move and to dothe task.

The person washing the car is 160-170 cm in

height.

Movement is from car to garage, around the carand car to storage house.

Time taken to walk 60 m :- 50 seconds

Time taken to fill bucket by tap :- 1 minute 50 seconds

Time taken to fill bucket by pipe :- 2 minutes

Time taken to walk 20 m while holding buckets (2) :- 1minute 20 seconds

Time taken to gather stuff we need :- 4 minutes 30

seconds Time taken to wash the car completely :- 25 minutes

Examine

The task :- washing the car by hand

Reason for doing it :- because the car was

dirty and maintenance issues.

Alternatives :- could ask help from

professional cleaners or car wash drive thru.

The location :- near by lawn The task performer:- the owner of the car or

someone else.

Problems faced

Water can bounce back or some loose particlemight bounce off and the soap might hurt thehands or eyes , so PPE, like rubber gloves anf eye

goggles must be used. Stretching while reaching difficult spots , so a

sponge stick instead of just a hand sponge mustbe used.

Repetitive filling of buckets, carrying it , repetitivebending over for washing, carrying the differentstuff. So CWT(car wash trolley).
