Hitch’s StoryHitch was found stumbling down the highway. After seeing the dog repeatedly collapse and many people drive past her, a kind man brought her to the Shelter. It was immediately obvious that this poor pup was in terrible condition. Hitch suffered from an advanced stage of mange, lice, dehydration and malnutrition. Having lost most of her hair, she also had sunburn and a skin infection. Hitch was treated at the Shelter for many months. She required several medications and intensive veterinary care before the staff found her a forever home.

A happy ending thanks to ourgenerousdonors

Christmas’s StoryChristmas received her name because she was brought into the Shelter Christmas Day. She was found frozen in a snow bank outside in sub-zerotemperature. Even though the Shelter was closed on this holiday, we opened our doors to a frantic woman holding a terried and frozen 8 week old kitten. The Shelter staff worked hard to warm the little black ball of fur and earn her trust enough to get her to eat. Christmas was treated for both a severe upper respiratory infection, and an infestation of mites. She was also treated forfrostbite but lost both ears due to the severity. After some TLC by the Shelterstaff, Christmas gained back her trust of people and was able to be adoptedinto a loving home.

Thanksto your

donations

Due to the severity of the frostbite, Sweetie required amputation of her tail and unfortunately lost both ears as well. Sweetie got her name because of her incredible disposition and love for attention. Being a senior and a lover of overstuffed chairs, Sweetie resided in one of the Shelter ofces until she was adopted to a loving family.
