1 Introduction$!The!goal!of!this!WP!is!to!identify,!collect!and!harmonize!all!information!inputs!already!available!to!support!the!use!cases!and!the!needs!of!partners!and!users!of!the!SUNSHINE!pilots.!In!particular!the!objectives!of!the!WP!are!to:!!•!Survey!and!collect!data!and!services!available.!•!Survey!and!collect!of!dynamic!data!and!services!available.!(Survey!of!existing!Repositories!and!Services!for!Static!and!Dynamic!Data!available!to!the!pilots:!three!tables!organized!in!according!to!SUNSHINE!scenarios!with!detail!the!collection!of!“static”!and!“dynamic”!data!and!services!available!at!partners.!!The!report!will!detail!specific!aspects,!necessary!for!the!deployment!of!the!pilots,!such!as!file!format,!data!model,!functional!to!the!deployment!of!the!catalogue!services!to!be!implemented!for!searching!and!retrieving!pilotBrelevant!metadata.!

1.1 Survey$and$collection$of$existing$data$repositories$and$services$

!Partner!HEPESCO,!with!involvement!of!other!partners,!prepared!the!survey!of!all!existing!data!repositories!and!services!required!by!the!pilots!and!available!through!partners!(e.g.!city!administrations,!building!managers,!ESCOs!etc.),!from!public!repositories,!and!from!other!ICTBPSP!projects.!A!catalogue!of!data!will!be!maintained!by!the!consortium!and!continuously!updated!throughout!the!project!in!case!new!resources!become!available!by!the!stakeholders.!The!datasets!will!then!be!collected!and!stored!within!the!project!server!infrastructure!that!will!be!managed!by!SGIS.!Other!partners!involved,!i.e.!GL,!SGIS,!EPS,!TNET!and!GSYS,!will!ensure!that!data,!necessary!for!thepilots!are!properly!collected.!!

1.2 Survey$of$dynamic$data$

exporting!data!to!an!external!database!and!therefore!it!becomes!possible!to!acquire!all!the!

system!simply!lacks!of!a!communication!interface!to!collect!the!data.!As!far!as!the!switchboard!

037!is!concerned!(located!within!the!city!centre)!it!will!be!necessary!to!fit!it!with!a!control!system!

for!dimmering!and!data!collection.!

The!communication!and!collection!of!data!is!performed!through!a!device!(manufactured!by!the!

ReverberiEnetec)!capable!to!control!the!whole!public!illumination!system!!called!OperaBDIM.!

The!data!files!come!from!an!access!database!and!will!be!export!to!excel,!csv!or!create!shp!file.!

DIM!is!installed!inside!the!control!panel.!It!allows!remote!controlling!of!panels!and/or!power!

controllers!performed!by!other!manufacturers!and!to!control!the!switchingBon/off!of!the!network!

via!the!integrated!astronomical!switch!(optional).!Electrical!parameters!are!measured!and!

recorded!in!a!nonBvolatile!memory.!The!system!has!two!digital!inputs,!one!digital!output!and!two!

Finally,!concerning!the!lighting!system!of!the!High!School!Campus,!after!a!careful!inspection!it!was!

decided!to!focus!the!experimentation!to!a!classroom,!located!on!the!ground!floor!of!the!Institute!

Pilati,!with!exposure!to!east.!It!was!planned!to!use!a!lighting!solution!with!electronic!dimmer,!able!

to!adapt!the!electricity!power!in!relation!to!the!contingent!ambient!light.!!

This!action!will!require!the!replacement!of!the!existing!6!lights.!The!lighting!system!will!be!

managed!by!a!multiBsensor!capable!of!detecting!both!the!presence!of!people,!both!the!brightness!

of!the!environment.!This!component!is!also!equipped!with!an!infrared!receiver!(IR)!with!which!it!

will!be!possible!to!force!the!system!in!order!to!manage!special!cases.!The!multiBsensor!will!be!

connected!to!a!control!unit!which,!using!the!wifi!network!in!the!schools,!will!be!able!to!acquire!

commands!from!a!remote!location!and!to!send!the!main!operating!data.!The!testing!of!this!pilot!

site,!as!well!as!the!data!collection!on!real!consumption!of!the!new!system!could!allow!to!develop!

IBIllumination!is!a!system!specifically!developed!by!PowerOne!for!an!high!dynamic!managing!of!

public!lighting!plants,!it!is!possible!to!control!individually!every!street!light!(pointBtoBpoint!

system).!

The!system!consists!of!two!devices:!1. The!remote!control!(CB)!that!allowing:!

• Turning!on!and!off!• Adjustment!where!the!power!supply!unit!connected!is!adjustable!• Collection!and!transfer!of!operational!data!

2. A!control!unit!or!CU!B!Collecting!Unit!which:!• Collects!data!from!lighting!points!• Communicates!with!the!remote!control!centre!• Sends!onBoffBadjustment!commands!point!by!point!

The!communication!between!the!lighting!points!and!the!collecting!unit!is!achieved!through!Power!

Line!Communication!on!the!supply!line.!The!communication!between!the!CU!and!a!remote!

control!center!can!be!achieved!by!means!of!a!GSM/GPRS!modem.!

Annexed!to!IBIllumination!system,!PowerOne!provides!an!application!“CB!Manager”!and!a!web!

portal!for!system!and!profile!configuration,!and!for!show!the!acquired!data.!Through!these!

software!is!possible!to!monitor:!fault!reporting!(e.g.!lamp!failure,!lamp!end!of!life,!lack!of!one!or!

more!phases,!lack!of!communication!with!one!or!more!points),!consumption!and!electrical!

quantities!on!the!control!panel!(with!reports!and!historical!trend)!!

The!applications!provided!by!PowerOne!aren’t!open!for!being!interfaced!with!third!parties!

application,!as!Sunshine!for!example,!this!require!the!development!of!a!new!applicationBlayer!

between!IBIllumination!CU!and!the!Sunshine!database.!
