Types of WeavePlain Weave

The most common and simplest

weave.

Each warp wire (wire running

parallel to the length of the cloth)

passes alternatively over and under

the wires running traversly through

the cloth at 90 degree angles

Twill Weave

Twill weave is produced by passing

each fill wire alternatively over and

under two warp wires

Dutch Weave

Fine wires under&cover thick wires

Plain-Dutch Weave

Woven in an over and under pattern,

but warp wires are heavier -- larger in

diameter -- than shute wires which are

driven very close to create a high

density wire mesh with much lower

flow rates and much higher particle

retention than plain square weaves.

which offers much better abrasion

resistance, better corrosion resistance

and lower electrical conductivity as

compared with copper wire.

Plain Weave, Twill Weave, and Dutch-

Plain Weave

·Superior to copper abrasion resistance

and tensile strength

·60-70% copper plus 30-40% zinc

·Uses include decorative applications,

filter discs, cabinet screens, plumbing

screens

Brass meshes are easily cut with hand

tools. The heavy meshes from 2 mesh

through 10 mesh is best cut with tin snips.

To cut 16 mesh and finer, you can use a

common scissor.

Phosphor bronze wire is an alloy wire of

copper, tin and phosphor, which offers

good corrosion resistance, wear

resistance and tear resistance and is

frequently used in the making for fine mesh

cloth. A kind of copper alloy, with 4% to 9%

tin, approximately 0.25% phosphorous, the

balance is copper.

Plain Weave, Twill Weave,

and Dutch-Plain Weave

Corrosion resistant, wear resistant and

tear resistant. Phosphor Bronze wire are

mainly used as fine wire cloth in a number

of industries.

Phosphor bronze wire mesh is frequently

used in sieving diversified pellet, powder,

porcelain clay and glass, chinaware

printing, filtering liquid and gas. We are

capable of supplying brass wire mesh from

1-200mesh, and phosphor bronze wire

mesh from 1-500mesh. Width from 0.6m to

Brass Filter Discs

The brass meshes are plain square weave

(over one, under one). Brass is superior to

copper wire mesh in abrasion resistance

and tensile strength. Brass can be soldered

with lead or silver solder. Brass may

discolor due to atmospheric conditions and

is not suitable for salt water use (monel is

the best for salt water and stainless steel

type 316 is second best). Electrical

conductivity is considerably lower than that

for copper wire.
