Over-achievers destroy their own peace of mind and the lives of those who work for them. People too attached to “goodness” and morality become self-righteous bigots. Presumably, the problem comes when fear of failure is dominant. When you can no longer come in terms with the inevitabiliinevitability of making mistakes, nor pay tribute to the importance of trial and error in nding the best and most creative solution. The more creative you are, the more errors your life is supposed to be inundated with. Get used to this mixed blessing. Deciding to avoid the errors will y in the face of your creativity too. To cap it all, getting the hang of little failures is essential to preserve everyone’s perspective on success. We hear a lot about being positive. Maybe we also need to recognize that the negative parts of our lives and experience have just as important a role to play in nding success, in work and in life.

How fear of failure undermines success Trial and error are usually the pivotal means of tackling life’s problems. Yet many people are not poised to undertake the trial because they’re too petried of experiencing the error. They do not resort to making the mistake of believing ththe mistake of believing that all error is wrong and harmful, when most of it is both helpful and necessary. Error provides the feedback that points the way to success. Only error spurs people on putting together a new and better trial, leading through yet more errors and trials until they can ultimately nd a viable and plausible solution. To meet with an error does not mean mean to be in the mire, but to take one more step on the path to nal success. In fact, one of the greatest misfortunes people can meet early in their life —success. When that happens, the temptation is to x on what seemed to work so quickly and not to emulate further. Why high achievers fail? Every strength can become a weakness. Every talent contains an opposite that sometimes makes it into a handicap. Successful people like to win and achieve high standards. This can make them so terried of failure it ruins their lives. When a positive trait, like achievement, becomes too strong in someone’s life, it’s on the way to becoming a major handicap.AAchievement is a powerful value for many successful people. They’ve built their lives on it. They achieve at everything they do: school, college, sports, the arts, hobbies, work. Each fresh audacious achievement adds to the power of the value in their lives.Gradually, failure becomes unthinkable. Maybe they’ve never failed yet in anything ththat they’ve done, so have no experience of rising above it. Failure becomes the supreme nightmare: a frightful horror they must avoid at any cost and not to give a vent to. The simplest way to do this is never to take a risk. Stick rigidly to what yyou know you can do. Protect your butt. Work the longest hours. Double and triple check everything. Be the most conscientious and conservative person in the universe. However, beware when any one value — however benign in itself — bebecomes too powerful.

“You see things; and you say, 'Why?' But I dream things that never were;

and I say, 'Why not?'” George Bernard Shaw

When I begin to contemplate the life I wish to have one day, many things come to mind. Many desired aspects are evident as well, and I realize how much effort and motivation it will take to accomplish all I want in just one lifetime. I nd it hard to separate dream and desire, because if I have a cherished hope for something, I try to achieve it. for something, I try to achieve it. One of my many long-term goals is to become an investor. This is the aim, I have held near to my heart for several years, to invest in children and economy. It is my dream that is distant and may change, but I must strive for success. To accomplish my dreams, rst I need to face adversity adversity in the eye and conquer my fears. For me personally, training to be the investor will take time,

commitment and money. I must constantly look at where I am now and evaluate where I need to go from here. There will never be a time in your life where you are at the top. You must keep climbing the career ladder. I know there is always someone smarter than me, so I continue to expand my knowledge and to earn prots. earn prots. Let me describe my dream in detail to understand the aim I would like to achieve besides my investing plan. For example, I want to live a lavish life and share it with my husband. I would like to relocate to a tropical climate and purchase a gorgeous two-story house near a quaint, rugged town. The perfect house for me is within walking distance of a warm, sandy for me is within walking distance of a warm, sandy beach. The smell of the salty ocean air will ll the outdoors, and the rustic homey feel of the indoor décor will give off a comfortable aura on the chilly nights and brisk mornings. The aroma of freshly baked pastries will spread through the entire house while my live-in gourmet chef bakes throughout the day for my family members. family members. A wise man said, "Dreams are what life is made up of." This statement is true in the sense that if you have dreams you have something to look forward to; something to focus on; even something to live for.

It was 1998. My parents and I celebrated the New Years. We were standing on the Lenin square and enjoying reworks and cheerful atmosphere. Then I saw two kids: a girl and a boy. They were about six and four. They didn’t have winter clothing, warm shoes or New Year gifts. They were standing there holding each others They were standing there holding each others hands and eating a cookie together. There were a lot of people, but no one paid any attention to them. Looking at these kids I understood that while I had parents, home, warm clothing, books, toys… they had nothing and no one but each other. Since then my dream has been to build a center Since then my dream has been to build a center for homeless children where they could nd love, help, understanding and support. All over the world there are a lot of homeless, lonely, scared children. Maybe I cannot change the entire world, but at least I can change something. We all can, we just should not be indifferent. I do believe that we just should not be indifferent. I do believe that one day my dream will come true.

Start with a cage containing ve monkeys. Inside the cage, hang a banana on a string and place a set of stairs under iof stairs under it. Before long, a monkey will go to the stairs and start to climb towards the banana. As soon as he ttouches the stairs, spray all of the other monkeys with cold water. After a while, another monkey makes an attempt with the same result - all the other monkeys are sprayed with cold water. Pretty soon, when another monkey tries to climb the stairs, the other monkeys will try to prevent it. Now, put away the cold water. Remove one monkey from the cage and replace it with a new one. The new monkey sees the banana and wants to climb the stairs. To his surprise and horror, all of the other monkeys attack him. After another attempt and attack, he knows that if he tries to climb the stairs, he will be assaulted. Next, remove another of the original ve monkeys and replace it with a new one. The newcomer goes to the stairs and is attacked. The previous newcomer takes part in the punishment with enthusiasm! Likewise, replace a third original monkey with a new one, then a fourth, then the fth. Every time the newest monkey takes to the stairstairs, he is attacked. Most of the monkeys that are beating him have no idea why they were not permitted to climb the stairs or why they are participating in the beating of the newest monkey. After replacing all the original monkeys, none of the remaining monkeys have ever been sprayed with cold water. Nevertheless, no monkey ever again appagain approaches the stairs to try for the banana. Why not? Because as far as they know that is the way it is always been done around here. And that, my friends, is how company policy begins.
