Hirwaun Outreach Service and Open Day As part of the Cynon service New Horizons offers an outreach service in St Lleurwgs church hall. The service provides Peer Support in a friendly safe environment.

This service enables people who live in Penderyn, Hirwaun and Penywaun to access mental health services more easily. On Friday 10th October (World Mental Health Day) 1:30pm - 3pm we are opening our doors to the village for people to come along have a cup of tea and chat to staff, volunteers and service and find out more about the service.

Quote from volunteer and service user Suzanne Parkes:

“This is my first role as a volunteer which I am enjoying, I am enjoying being able to give back the support I have received myself. There is a friendly welcome for everyone in a relaxed atmosphere with endless cups of tea and biscuits. We hold the service user meeting on the last Friday of the month where everyone is welcomed and encouraged to attend as they have a chance to have their say”
