“Celebrating Caribbean Cuisine and Culture”
The Event
This will be the finale event of this year’s 36 date Caribbean cuisine tour, a one day special show to be held on Friday 29th October 2010 at the Central Hall Westmister, London. The event will depict “A True Celebration of Caribbean Cuisine and Culture”. This televised event will showcase over 50 exhibitors of Caribbean food, drink travel and lifestyle plus exciting live cooking demonstrations from a host of celebrity chefs. The highlight of the show is a cook off competition between representatives from several Caribbean islands
The main stage will also host live entertainment including music, poetry and dance from the Caribbean plus special performances from the award winning Steel Pan Orchestra Pantonic and feature a number of carnival costumes from this year’s Nottinghill Carnival. The foyer area of the great hall will host travel, tourism and lifestyle exhibitors in addition to selected Caribbean tourist boards and travel organisations.
Other key features of this one day festival is a Caribbean food court which will have a fantastic selection of dishes from the Caribbean to sample including the Rum Shack showcasing and sampling great Rums of the Caribbean.
This exhibition will create Fantastic sales and marketing opportunities for all organsations involved. This is an opportunity truly not to be missed!

WORLDFOOS CARIBBEAN FOOD AND DRINK FESTIVAL IN ASSOCIATION WITH CITY OF WESTMINSTER
On Saturday 2nd April 2011 the Caribbean Food & Drink Festival, the largest ever event of it’s kind in the UK, will be held this year at Central Hall, Westminster, in association with City of Westminster Council. This will be the finale of this year’s hugely successful WorldFoods Caribbean cuisine 36 date tour, Which was supported by major supermarkets including ASDA, MORRISONS, TESCO and SAINSBURYS, where over 52,000 people were able to taste, touch, smell, feel and engage with a variety of Caribbean food and drink products presented by some of the UK’s finest Caribbean Celebrity Chefs. The Caribbean Food And Drink Festival will be hosted by the much loved former GMTV celebrity Chef Rustie Lee, “the first lady of Caribbean cuisine” who was the tour ambassador for this years Worldfoods Caribbean Cuisine roadshow. The WorldFoods event will be supported by a major Marketing and PR campaign and will be filmed for TV with live radio coverage. The event will showcase Caribbean food and drink companies, with an exciting‘cook off’ competition. Cooking demonstrations and workshops with celebrity chefs such as Hasan Defour from the TV series, “Rhodes Across The Caribbean”. And Chef Gary Tomlin who was runner up on Gordon Ramsey’s TV show “Hells Kithchen”This event will be both an educational and fun event with lots of interaction for people of all ages including school children from London boroughs who will be visiting the festival with their parents and teachers as an important part of Black History Month. There will be live entertainment throughout the day, including music, poetry and dance ‘Caribbean Style’, there will also be an evening extravaganza with celebrity special guest performances.
Expected attendees include; Boris Johnson - The Mayor of London and notable MP’s, Olympic Medallists, TV, Film and sports Personalities plus dignitaries from Caribbean High Commissions, as well as distinguished British heroes of Caribbean decent.
