PurposeTo support the event organisation for World AIDS Day and to support with tasks related to our street fundraising and Candlelit Vigil in the lead up to World AIDS Day

Key Activities
As our World AIDS Day Support Volunteer, you’ll gain valuable experience in event planning and organisation and volunteer management. You’ll work closely with our staff team as well as staff from the LGBT Foundation and BHA for Equality to fundraise and raise awareness about HIV and to ensure that our volunteers have a great experience of helping at World AIDS Day Events. This role is only available from October-December and requires a commitment of around 10 hours per week.
Key tasks include: Helping with administration for World AIDS Day Supporting around the recruitment of volunteers Supporting around the training/briefing of volunteers Supporting around coordination of volunteers for fundraising
collections Supporting around the planning and organisation of the World AIDS
Day VigilTime
CommitmentApproximately 10 hours per week from October- December. You need to be able to come into the George House Trust office two days per week.
Location This role is based in the office at George House Trust
Skills/experience required
Basic literacy/numeracy skills Some experience of giving presentations and/or delivering training Some experience of working with volunteers Good communication skills Good people skills and telephone skills Some knowledge or lived experience of people living with HIV An awareness of the communities we serve Able to following instructions and work independently Able to work with others as part of a team Experience of meeting deadlines Be punctual and reliable
