Many of these movements are originally derived from the natural movement of animals and birds. The classes will develop strength and fl exibility while helping to quiet the mind and release tension. These gentle forms of practice will improve your balance, posture and lengthen muscle groups to build a strong body through the use of small balls, exercise bands and sticks. Qigong for Vitality! (PQIGONG20S)West Nyack, Bldg. 9 3/10 - 5/26 T 7 – 8pm 12 hours $135Qigong is an ancient Chinese healing art that cultivates, circulates and balances our internal energy. It combines simple physical movements, posture control and meditation resulting in improved sleep quality, reduced stress and pain reduction. Qigong is the foundation to Tai Chi. Tai Chi movements are all Qigong exercises and will be included. This program is suitable to all levels and is conducted in a relaxed, supportive setting. Comfortable shoes and loose clothing recommended. Chairs are provided. If you prefer lying down meditation, please bring a mat.
