Rick Edwards, Shiprock High School Principals recognized the Shiprock High School Band. B. A Rick Edwards Shiprock High School Principals recognized the Shiprock High School Band

B Rick Edwards Chester Atcitty Shiprock High School Boys Basketball Head Coach and Larenson Henderson Shiprock High School Girls Basketball Head Coach recognized the Shiprock High School Boys and Girls Basketball Teams

C Adam Archibeque Newcomb High School Athletic Director recognized the Newcomb High School Volleyball team

D Shawna Becenti Kirtland Central High School Principal and John Zecca Kirtland Central High School Boys Basketball Head Coach recognized the Kirtland Central High School Boy and Girls Basketball teams

E Pandora Mike Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum Instruction and Staff Development presented Certificates of Appreciation to recognize each individual and organization partners who supported the students schools and many duties and responsibilities in the learning process

F Pandora Mike also introduced the Exceptional Programs Coordinator Cliff Tompson and Indian Education Title III Coordinator Dave Goldtooth

A Adam Archibeque Newcomb High School Athletic Director presented the Newcomb High School Athletic Department Donation from the Basketball tournament sponsored by the Peshlakai Family

B Dr Rebecca Benedict Director of Secondary Education presented the NMPED Graduation Requirements Waiver Request for Kirtland Central High School

C Cliff Tompson Exceptional Program Coordinator presented the updated Special Education Policies and Procedures The state has not release the policies and procedures and will be out until the end of the month still changes are being made The first reading will be given on the Work Session and second reading at the Regular School Board meeting in June 2014

D Cliff Tompson also presented the IDEA-B Application for 2014-15 Ten core values that define EDSP next two values that subscribe the foundation for decision making CCSD EDSP Demographics Medicaid Part B Application and Moving ahead in 2014-15

E The 2014-15 Title I Consolidated Application will be reported at the June s Work Session

F The 2014-15 Title II Consolidated Application will be reported at the June s Work Session

G Kristy Stock Curriculum and Instruction Supervisor presented the 2014-15 Elementary Arts Renewal Application The grants serve 3000 students at 9 different schools goals and student learning outcome professional development allocation this year is $55069048 additional art teacher will be needed 3 arts teachers and 5 music teachers $18000 help support instructional supplies instructional resources student supplies and student travel the $550000 will go to salaries and benefits Matthew Tso pOinted out that the numbers of students in incorrect for Naschitti Elementary School The correction will be made for Naschitti Elementary School and Mesa Elementary School per Kristy Stock

H Dr Wynora Bekis Director of MulticulturalBilingual presented the 2014-15 Title VII Application The application has been submitted electronically in the amount of $1 028534 and student count of 5638 the IEC approved the application The Title III State Application was not included on the agenda and would like to include on the Tuesday May 20 Regular School Board agenda as a report and approval Dr Bekis also introduced Dave Goldtooth as Title III Indian Education Coordinator

M Dr Colleen Bowman Director of Operations Dennis Fieldsted Buildings and Construction Coordinator and Sheba Joe Maintenance Supervisor presented the Propane Bid Award Recommendation Dr Bowman introduced Sheba Joe as the Maintenance Supervisor Ms Joe presented the PropanelButane Bid Tabulation for Surburban Propane and Arrowhead Propane Inc Bid Opening on May 1 2014 and three people reviewed the bid The official recommendation for the Board to award the contract to Arrowhead Propane Inc for SY 2014-15 Arrowhead Propane Inc met the requirements for the district and a local service provider

N The Four Corners Materials Agreement will be reported at the Regular School Board meeting on May 20

O Dr Andrea Tasan Director of Finance presented the two Permanent Cash Transfer The first Cash Transfer Request to clear negative balance in capital outlay fund reimbursement was posted to the state flow-through account for Pre-K classrooms at Nizhoni while expenditures were posted to the special capital outlay account The second Cash Transfer Request to clear small balances from grants that should have been closed out in the past $051 from Stabilization ARRA $097 from NM Arts Division and $2526 for Coordinated Approach to Child Health

P Dr Andrea Tasan presented the Payment of Bills Working on payments to be paid out and also working with Schools and Departments to work on open purchase orders to close out before the end of the school year ends

Q Dr Andrea Tasan presented the Budget Adjustments and Journal Entries

R Dr Andrea Tasan mentioned that there is no Items Over $60000 for this month

S Dr Andrea Tasan presented the Monthly Fiscal Report Dr Tasan called PED Transportation Bureau and asked that the last $962000 for the school buses was not received and NMPED Financial system identified that it has been paid therefore payment was posted The expenditures are being monitoring in all the accounts and functions for negatives or positives in each function Dr Tasan also presented a PowerPoint presentation on the Finance Department Update Current Activities and Summer AgendaActions Randy Manning returned the $4550 to cover the motel room that was questionedor the trip to New Orleans LA on April 2 2014 and would like a receipt
