DM2E Open Humanities Awards

• The Open Humanities Awards will support exemplary contributions to humanities scholarship that incorporate open source tools to augment interpretation or argument.

• Two rounds of projects (2013 and 2014)• Awards will be advertised via DARIAH, Open Knowledge Foundation lists,

Europeana and in Digital Humanities Departments across Europe.• First project will commence in or after February 2013 and be finished by

August 2013 in time to present findings at OKFestival 2013 in Geneva.• 2-5 successful projects will be funded in each round with €15,000 worth of

prizes on offer.• All winners will be expected to produce regular blog updates about their

projects and to present their findings at OKFestival 2013 in Geneva.

• Hands-on training with DM2E tools.• High-level talks on the overall vision of the

project and the possibility of Linked Data technologies for the humanities.
