Benefits of using IIE Marketing ServicesYou have many choices when it comes to spending your B2B marketing dollars. You look at several options but in the end you focus on channels that deliver effective reach and affinity to the market. When the audience is highly targeted as well as engaged in the channel, you will be more successful.

The individual member association is the best way to meet both highly targeted reach and affinity. Members choose to be in their professional association and pay for their dues individually. They look first to the association to help them increase their skills, network and find information on products and services that serve the market.

The Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE) is the global association of productivity and efficiency professionals. We have a large community (26,000 plus) of practitioners using the principles of industrial engineering inhealthcare, manufacturing, operations, ergonomics, distribution, industry, education and more.

You are keenly aware that these principles positively impact the bottom line while increasing productivity and performance to meet the customer demands. Process control is sophisticated and when the right tools areimplemented, output is measurably better.

The same holds true for your B2B marketing and advertising strategy. IIE’s tools provide you an integrated reach with exhibits at specialized conferences, digital ads, print ads, e-newsletters, webinars, Web profiles, expert subject and content alignment as well as partner alliances.

aWarD-WInnIng EDITOrIaLIndustrial Engineer praised as an industry showstopper Since 1995, Industrial Engineer magazine has won awards in editorial and design excellence from Folio, the Magazine Association of the Southeast and the American Society of Business Publication Editors. The magazine’s mission is to provide useful, timely and thought-provoking content that addresses the broad spectrum of industrial engineering practice in all industries. Our specialized and sophisticated content goes through a rigorous process before being shared with a worldwide base of members. Being recognized by important publishing associations strengthens the general public’s interest in the field of industrial engineering and enhances the credibility of our editors, staff writers and contributors. Whether addressing supply chain efforts in international disaster response, the value of lean production methods, ergonomics planning in service facilities, enterprise transformation management, or Six Sigma applied to health systems, the magazine provides in-depth news that has garnered dozens of awards in categories such as Best Feature Writing or Reporting, Best Cover Design, Best Cover Story, Best Column and General Excellence. Approximate circulation 10,017.

Industrial Management’s contemporary edge Engineering managers lead by example. Their management methods aren’t just cultivated in the boardroom among fellow leaders. Many of them spend a great deal of time on the shop floor, in the distribution centers, in the RFID laboratories and in benchmarking sessions at other companies around the world and then share their findings with us. Published six times a year, Industrial Management speaks to various types of managers with topics that will not be found in Inc. or Business Week. High-level topics like gaining a supply chain advantage overseas, executing a strategy that incorporates sustainability, logistics engineering that sells, designing a manufacturing hub, and assembling cross-cultural teams at multinational companies are explored by bestselling authors, chief executive officers and performance consultants from around the world. The goal of any strategic or integrated marketing effort is to become an integral member of your target market community. It’s a matter of strong affinity so that when decisions are made, your product or service is top of mind. To achieve this, you need to get in the trenches, and align yourself with the same goals as the community.

It’s personal with the members as they are dedicated to these communities. They demonstrate their dedication by volunteering their time in so many ways. From sitting on committees and boards to delivering presentations at conferences or leading the divisions and chapters, members make it personal. You can make it personal too, with a strategic approach.

You can anchor your strategic integrated plan around your community conferences and communicate your brand messages in the traditional outlets (magazine, e-newsletters and website) all year long to reinforce your partnership.

Start with submitting your best practice case study for presentation at the conference*, secure your exhibit space, sponsor a reception for “face time” and advertise your presence in the vehicles to generate interest in your product or service at the conference and all through the year. Follow up with select, limited time offers to engage your prospects and build your business. Maintain your involvement in their local meetings and on their newsletters all through the year. The more you integrate, the better your affinity will be when the time comes to make a purchasing decision.

*Conference presentations independently selected by conference committee members not IIE staff.
