Introduction This work assessment report on five (5) mineral licences comprising the Tim’s Brook
Property “ the property” is being submitted on behalf of North Range Resources Ltd of P.O.
Box 385 Clarke’s Beach, NL, A0A 1W0. The licences encompass 138 map-staked claims in
5 contiguous blocks located on National Topographic Series (NTS) 1.50,000 scale map sheet
12B/08.
The work detailed in this report includes prospecting, lake sediment and rock
sampling, field trips, map and report compilations completed at different periods in 2007 and
2008. Field work by North Range Resources Ltd and Marathon PGM Corporation together
with map and report compilations by V.A. French Geological Consultants Inc, under contract
to North Range, have contributed to this report.
The expenditures for the work detailed in this report are being submitted to satisfy the
current year assessment requirements for Mineral Licences 9435M, 9975M, 10035M &
13597M, and to partially satisfy the assessment requirements for Mineral Licence 13540M.
Location, Access and Infrastructure
The property is located in southwestern Newfoundland in the southwest quadrant of
1:250,000 scale Map Sheet 12B and specifically within 1:50,000 Sheet 12B/08 (Figure 1).
The property stretches approximately 7 kilometers along the north bank of Flat Bay Brook, a
first order river draining west into St. Georges Bay, near the community of Flat Bay, along
the west coast of Newfoundland.
The Flat Bay Brook- Steel Mountain gravel road, which intersects the Trans Canada
Highway 8 kms west, provides easy road access skirting the north bank of Flat Bay Brook
through Licence 9975M, along the south end of the property. The community of St.
Georges, approximately 15 road kilometers west and situated along the coastline of Bay St.
George is the nearest population center with services such as groceries, fuels and supplies.

The major population and service center is at Stephenville, a further 15 kilometres
north via paved highway along the coastline. Stephenville is a former United States Air force
Base and in addition to a deep-water port complex (Harmon Complex) also boasts one of the
larger airport runways (2miles) in eastern Canada, which is regularly serviced by commercial
airline service. This service and supply center for southwestern Newfoundland was also the
site of the recently closed Abitibi Consolidated Pulp and Paper Mill and is presently the
center of on-shore and off-shore oil exploration being conducted by a number of junior to
mid-size oil companies.
A former producing open pit magnetite mine operated late in the last century,
principally supplying ballast for the Hibernia Oil Field Gravity Base Production Platform is
situated immediately north of the property area.
Physiography
The property and surrounding area has rugged topography, both south and north of
the U shaped Flat Bay Brook river valley, which dissects the southern Long Range
Mountains (LRM), the main topographic element in this region. The LRM in the area is
formed by a resistive weathering igneous complex, labelled the Steel Mountain Anorthosite
Complex (SMAC), made up of ultramafic to mafic intrusions. This mountainous terrain
characterizing the property is dominated by irregular, cliff bounded to rounded hilltops
which, with relief up to 250 metres, rise above the base elevation of the Flat Bay Brook. The
relief is locally extreme and within the property, on the north side of the river valley,
elevations rise more than 225 metres over short distances of 250 metres to 800 metres.
Drainage, principally along second order streams, exhibits a trellis to parallel pattern
draining mainly south and southeast into Flat Bay Brook. In the north half of the property
and particularly within Mineral Licence 13540M the drainage changes to northwest into the
west draining system, which in the region is the major drainage into Bay St. George. The
southeast and northwest, parallel drainage is along moderate to steeply incised valleys which
appear to occupy subsidiary structures formed as splays off the rectilinear, Long Range Fault
Zone which trends north-south in western Newfoundland along the Long Range Mountains.
4
The rough topography is further exasperated by a profuse growth of mixed softwood
(fir, spruce) and hardwood (alder, mountain ash, e.g) typically containing sections of the
infamous stunted spruce, particularly evident along hilltops and many slopes. This tangly,
difficult to forge, immature growth, widespread throughout sections of insular
Newfoundland, intermingled with alder and immature fir, e.g. and coupled with steep hill
slopes impede traversing in many areas.
Outcrop is scattered throughout the property, exposed in streambeds, along hilltops
and face sections of steep, cliffy hills. The hill top exposures are generally the best and most
accessible, outcropping in areas of scrub, stunted spruce and low bush, locally referred to as
goudie (also gold-withy). This landscape with intervening boggy and marshy valley
lowlands is more prevalent throughout the north half of the property and away from the
north-flanking hillside of the Flat Bay Brook, river valley.
Description of Mineral Licences
The property contains 5 mineral licences sharing conterminous boundaries and
forming a group of 138 claims covering 8659.5 acres (3506 hectares) with the south
boundary fringing Flat Bay Brook (Figure 2). The property extends up to 7 kms north from
the south boundary and attains a maximum width of 7 kms along UTM Northing 5360000M
– the approximate center of the property is at UTM coordinate 5360200N-404000E. The
map-staked licences are summarized below:

Detailed descriptions of the mineral licences are presented on the Mineral Rights
Database System Reports (MRDSR) dated January 31, 2008, which can be accessed on the
Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Natural Resources Website (Appendix I).
History of Land Tenure
The 5 mineral licences are registered to North Range Resources Ltd pursuant to an
option agreement with Muck Resources (comprised of individuals Len Muise, Gerald Hull,
Donald Cormier and Larry Cormier) of 3 Jane Heights, P.O. Box 2321, Paradise, NL, A1E
1E6 dated March 4th, 2004 and registered in Volume 22, Folio 58 at the Mineral Claims
Recorders (MCR) Office, 50 Elizabeth Avenue, St.John’s, NL. At the time of optioning, on
March 4, 2004, the Tim’s Brook property contained Map Staked Mineral Licences 9435M,
9975M and 10035M registered respectively to Gerald Hull, Muck Resources and Gerald
Hull. (9975M was also formerly registered to Gerald Hull as Licence 9582M, and was
replaced in part by 9975M on February 9, 2004).
Licences 9435M and 9975M were transferred to North Range Resources Ltd on
March 29, 2004 and this transfer is registered in Volume 21, Folio 59 at the MCR’s office.
Licence 10035M (formerly 9963M also registered to Gerald Hull) was transferred to North
Range Resources Ltd on January 12, 2007 and this transfer is registered in Volume 22, Folio
36. All transfers are pursuant to the terms and conditions of the option agreement dated
March 4, 2004. A total number of 46 full sized claims was contained within these 3 mineral
licences.
7
Licence 13540M was map staked on April 26,2007 and the licence was issued to
North Range Resources Ltd on May 28, 2007. Licence 13547M was map staked on May 29,
2007 and the licence was issued to North Range Resources Ltd on June 28, 2007. These
licences respectively encompass 86 and 6 claims for a total of 92 claims and form a part of
the Tim’s Brook Property under option from Muck Resources.
Regional and Property Geology
The Tim’s Brook Property is situated within the Steel Mountain Anorthosite (SMA)
in the southern Long Range Mountains, and the Humber Zone, which is the western most
tectonic sub division of the Appalachian Mountain System exposed in Newfoundland defined
by Williams (1979). Brem et al (2002) shows the SMA to be within the “internal Humber
Zone”, consisting mainly of PreCambrian basement rocks of the Grenville Province and
bounded by the Long Range Fault (LRF) to the east, and the Grand Lake Fault (GLF) to the
west. They describe the SMA to comprise massive, coarse crystalline anorthosite and
anorthositic gabbro, grading to gabbro and forming an intrusive complex extending
approximately 40 kilometers north-south. In this area, van Berkel et al (1987) notes several
small bodies of norite adjacent to the LRF Zone.
Collins and Wilton (2005) completed detailed field mapping within the area of the
Tim’s Brook Property, along the east of the property. Although their map was generated
from a work area covering approximately one-half of the property, it does include a 2
kilometre strip along the east side and encompassing all of Licence 9435M, the east section
and approx 65% of Licence 10035M, and the east half of Licence 13540M; Licence 13597M
is not within their area of mapping and only the southeast corner of Licence 9975M
representing only 15% of this licence.
Their map, in its original form, is presented in Figure 3 and is referenced as the
geology representing the Tim’s Brook Property and demonstrates there is considerable
variation in lithologies within the area. Their field observations are summarized as follows:
“mapping in the SMA has delineated several norite bodies. Mapping has reduced the size of
the norite map units of van Berkal et al. (1987), and allowed further subdivision of mafic
8
9
rocks. Identification of new diabase dyke swarms was also accomplished during this
mapping project.”
Previous Work
The Muise brothers of St. George’s, NL conducted prospecting in the Flat Bay Brook
area during 1994, which led to the discovery of five quartz veins hosting anomalous to high-
grade Au, Ag and base metal mineralization. Additional fieldwork in 1994 consisted of
detailed prospecting of the streams leading southward into Flat Bay Brook (Bradley, 1995).
Bradley reported the mineralized quartz veins ranged from 0.1 m to 1.30 m in width and
exposed along strike for 1.0 m to 16.0 m. Moderate to abundant iron carbonate (ankerite)
alteration and locally abundant hematite occurs within the quartz veins and surrounding
anorthosite.
The highest Au and Ag values occurred in samples collected from vein #’s 1, 3 and 4.
A grab sample collected in 1994 from vein # 3 assayed 162.7 g/t Au and 7.10 oz/t Ag.
Channel sampling in 1995 across vein # 3 assayed up to 16.2 g/t Au and 14.2 oz/t Ag over
0.80 m (Bradley, 1995). Vein # 3 was reported to be the most impressive vein discovered
with an estimated 5% to 7% overall sulphide content with local concentrations up to 50%.
The sulphides consist of predominantly pyrite, chalcopyrite and a gray colour metallic
mineral, possibly tetrahedrite and/or tennantite which is supported by anomalous Sb and As
assay results. Vein # 3 was reported to be somewhat limited in extent, requiring further
grubbing and trenching along strike. Bradley (1995) concluded positive potential for the
property area given the assay results and proximity to the Cabot Fault, a structure associated
with gold mineralization on Glover Island to the north and several other major prospects, and
recommended establishing a grid over the area in order to carry out a soil geochemical
survey, magnetometer and VLF geophysical surveys, as well as detailed geological mapping.
In October 1996, Mor-Bar Minerals Incorporated fan drilled five DDH’s from one
collar site (5358527N/403270E) in the Tim’s Brook area in order to test the down-dip
extension of the quartz-sulphide veins located on surface in Tim’s Brook. A total of 407.7 m
10
of drilling was completed for the five DDH’s and 28 core samples were assayed for Au, Ag
and Zn (Pilgrim and Regular, 1998). Diamond drill hole RB-96-03 intersected a brecciated
and foliated zone of leucocratic anorthosite containing between 8% - 10% pyrite, which
assayed 3.04 g/t over 0.40 m. This brecciated mineralized zone occurs adjacent to a quartz
vein, which returned 90 ppb Au.
Prospector Leonard Muise and Geologist S. Dunsworth, P.Geo conducted a
prospecting and sampling program over a 3-day period in December 2003. The results and
conclusions indicated that the presence of this fairly widespread mineralization and spatially
associated intense alteration zones, as well as the rather sporadic and rudimentary exploration
activity carried out to date, are all indicative of the overall positive exploration potential of
the area. They concluded a program of systematic exploration work is required to adequately
evaluate the mineral potential of the licence and surrounding area. Their observations and
recommendations resulting from the 2003 program are summarized below:
(1) The quartz veins identified to date throughout the area exhibit a generally north-
south strike and generally subvertical to steeply westward and occasionally eastward dip. The
attitude of these quartz veins appears to lie subparallel to slightly oblique to the foliation
within the host anorthosite.
(2) Quartz vein (Vein # 1) contains variably anomalous Au values and requires
additional trenching to the south and north along strike to expose the full extent of this major
quartz vein which is currently covered by overburden.
(3) The drilling of a series of deeper drill holes in the Tim’s Brook area would present
a better chance of intersecting the mineralized veins both along strike and down-dip.
(4) A systematic program of detailed geological mapping is needed to further develop
an understanding of the spatial distribution of the various lithological subunits, to identify the
various structural elements, and to determine the spatial and temporal relationships between
the mineralization, alteration zones and structural elements throughout the area.
11
(5) Detailed soil geochemistry along an established grid is required to identify
anomalous element dispersion haloes for targeting future exploration trenching and/or
drilling in areas currently covered by overburden.
Since optioning the property North Range Resources Ltd, in 2005 and 2006 and prior
to this report period, completed several phases of fieldwork over the 3 mineral licences
covered by the option agreement. This fieldwork consisted of reconnaissance and detailed
prospecting, geology, geochemical (stream sediment) and rock sampling, gridding and
ground geophysical, Induced polarization surveying which was focused over the quartz vein
system mainly exposed within Licences 9975M (e.g. French 2005, 2007). Other work
completed and filed for assessment purposes included digital map and library research
compilations, and compiling a proposal for planned drilling, submitted to the Department of
Natural Resources principally completed by geologists Kimberly Janes and Vic French of
V.A. French Geological Consultants Inc, (Janes and French, 2006).

Work Description and Results
The work completed on the Tim’s Brook Property during the report period consisting
of surface surveys, field visits, report and map compilations is summary listed and discussed
in detail below:

The first phase of fieldwork completed on the Tim’s Brook property, during the
report period, comprised prospecting and lake sediment surveys in April, 2007. This work
was contracted to Len Muise of Stephenville, NL and encompassed 3 mineral licences; the
assessment work for 10035M and 9435M was reported earlier by French and Butler (2007).
The details of these surveys covering licence 9975M are now presented in this report.
In addition to the previously reported work, 2 days were required to collect the 7 lake
sediment samples on Mineral Licence 9975M. A 2 man crew consisting of Terry Muise and
13
Plate 1: Satellite Tent Camp
Scott Butt of St. Georges, was sent out to the Tim’s Brook property where a base camp was
set up using a cabin rented from Len Muise, this cabin was situated along the Flat Bay Brook
ravel road. However it proved to be more practical for the program to be established out of a
satellite tent camp, within the licence area, that was used during most of the sampling
program. (Plate1).
During the sampling program there were 7 lake sediment samples collected, (Figure
4). All lake sediment samples were collected by using a 6”ice auger to bore through the
frozen ice so that a sampling torpedo could be dropped to the bottom of the pond to retrieve
the sediment sample. Some of the larger ponds have two or more sample sites. The collected
samples were be placed in plastic bags and drained to remove any excess water. Samples
14
15
were shipped to Eastern Analytical Ltd. Laboratories, in Springdale for Au + ICP-30
analysis; Eastern Analytical then shipped the samples to ACME Laboratories in Vancouver,
for further analyses on Platinum and Palladium, (Appendix II). Three of the 7 lake sediment
samples yielded moderately anomalous values of 6,8 and 9 ppb gold respectively in samples
TB-07-03, 16 and 04 (Figure 4). The distribution of these anomalous samples, together with
sample results from adjacent licence 10035M, define an anomalous region which straddles
the boundary between the 2 licences. The results on Licence 10035M are presented in an
earlier assessment report (French and Butler, 2007).
During the week of May 20-25, 2007, Ralph Kettell domiciled in Burtonsville,
Maryland, Russell Martell in Lexington, Virginia and Karl Basi in Surrey, B.C.,
accompanied by project manager Vic French and Technical Advisor Dr. Derek Wilton of
Memorial University, visited the property. On the morning of May 21, this group travelled
from Baie Verte to the Tim’s Brook property utilizing a rental 4-wheel drive Suburban,
rented at Deer Lake, which allowed vehicular access to the property. While at the property a
traverse was completed to several, gold mineralized quartz veins exposed in streams
cascading down over the north slope of the Flat Bay Brook River Valley. The veins visited
included #1 and #3 veins, which were the main veins of interest, based on earlier reported
gold assays (Figure 5).
During the week prior to the visit, Len Muise and Terry Muise spent 3 days cutting
trails to and clearing brush over the locations of 6 mineralized quartz veins exposed along a 1
km section of Licence 9975M (Figure 5). This work was recommended by L. Muise in order
to facilitate the planned viewing of the quartz veins.
The field trip also included a stop to view a roadside, outcrop exposure within
Licence 13597M, and a hike up the transmission line and Newfoundland Hydro power
generating station road to view licence 9435M. (This road provides access to a small
generating station situated on a brook, referred to as Look Out Brook by local residents, and
easy access into the licence). The total expenses for the Newfoundland visit to various North
Range properties are pro rata distributed to the 5 licences comprising the property.
16
17
Len Muise, accompanied by Terry Muise, completed 2 days of prospecting traverses
on August 25 – 26, 2007 to investigate several gossan occurrences reported by the Terry
Muise led prospecting team during the 2007, winter lake sediment sampling program. These
gossans were observed in cliff faces along a north-northwest trending linear, occupied by
several ponds and situated in the northwest corner of Licence 9975M. The first day
entailed traversing north along a stream draining south into Flat Bay Brook, which winded 2
+ kilometers through rugged terrain into the gossan zone which was not reached during the
foot traversing (Len Muise, pers. Comm.). The following, day the 2-man crew did access the
area from the north side of the licence off the gravel road into the former magnetite
producing mine located northwest of the property. The gossan zone was reached but
handheld GPS positioning confirmed most of the zone intermittently exposed along the linear
outcropped on an adjacent licence, registered to another company. A section of the gossan
was observed just inside Licence 9975M but was inaccessible because of its position on the
face of a steep slope, (the location was noted for future work programs).
On October 4, 2007 geologists Sherry Dunsworth and David Wood of Marathon
PGM Corporation, Bay Street, Toronto, On, accompanied by Len Muise, Terry Muise and
Gerald Hull completed a 1-day field trip to Mineral Licence 9975M. A summary report of
this field trip, which included sample information and analyses for gold, was provided by
Ms. Dunsworth and is presented in Appendix III. Their work focused on several exposed,
gold mineralized quartz veins concentrated at 2 general locations displayed in Figure 5 with
samples prefixed by NNR. Assays yielded weak to moderate gold values in 6 of the 7
samples, with highest values, up to 5686 ppb, from pyrite sulphide mineralized, quartz veins.
The lowest gold values were contained in the anorthosite host to the quartz veins.
During this fieldwork, the five-person crew also traversed to Licence 9435M for the
purpose of visiting several small gossan zones and ≤ 1 metre wide quartz veins exposed
along Look Out Brook in the southeast corner of the licence (Len Muise, pers. cite). This
brief visit to Licence 9435M did not result in sample collection. The expenses covering their
fieldwork and including airfare and travel costs from Toronto, ON are distributed to licences
9975M and 9435M.
18
During the period January 11-26, 2008 a lake sediment sampling and prospecting
survey was carried out over the property, contracted to Len Muise of Stephenville, NL and
employing a two man prospecting team. The survey was carried by prospectors Terry Muise
and Scott Butt of St. Georges and required 5.5 days of fieldwork to complete. The crew
operated from the community of St. Georges, traveling daily by truck to the work site and
utilizing 2 skidoos for accessing the work area. A total of 11-lake sediment samples and 6
representative grab samples of exposed outcrop were collected from 4 of the 5 licences
comprising the Tim’s Brook Property. Lake sediment samples were collected using a 6” ice
auger to bore holes through the pond ice and dropping a sampling torpedo to retrieve the
sediment sample.
Ten of the 11 lake sediment samples were collected within Licence 9975M with 1
sample, #277560, located in 9435m (Figure 5). Samples were secured in plastic sample bags
for shipment to the assaying lab. Six representative rock samples from gabbroic to
anorthositic outcrops containing minor sulphide mineralization were collected- 4 from
Licence 13540M and 2 from 10035M. Sample locations are shown in Figure 5 and summary
information on all samples, e.g. UTM locations and sample type are presented in Appendix
IV. The samples were shipped to the preparation facility for Accurassays located at Gambo,
NL for furtherance to the assaying laboratory at Thunder Bay, ON. The samples are being
assayed for Au+ICP-30, platinum and palladium. Sample results, not available for this
report, are expensed at $38.60/sample (excl. HST) plus shipping charges of $30.34 via Len
Muise and DRL Bus lines. (Assay results will be forwarded upon receipt).
The digital files for this report are presented in Appendix V.

Hello Vic, I am just getting back from break and following up on the October 4th, 2007 MPGM visit to NRR's Flat Bay Brook property. Dave Good, Len Muise and I had a lovely day visiting the quartz veins within your property. The veins were very interesting to both Dave and I. I took the liberty of collecting 7 samples (# 270031 - 270037) including 1 sample from Vein # 1, 2 samples from Vein # 3, 3 samples from Vein # 4 and 1 sample from Vein # 6. These samples have been sent to Accurassay Labs for Au + ICP 30 analysis. I will send to you the sample #'s, UTM's, details and assay results as soon as they become available. Thanks for the opportunity to visit the Flat Bay Brook property. I spoke positively with Phill Walford (Pres.) about the property and he has expressed interest in prehaps coming to some joint working agreement on the property should NRR be interested. I will give you a call tomorrow to chat about possibilities. Is there a better time to contact you? Regards, Sherry Sherry Dunsworth, M.Sc., P.Geo. Project manager Marathon PGM Corp. Send a smile, make someone laugh, have some fun! Start now!
