What is Durisol?

• Durisol is a proprietary material sometimes called “woodcrete”

– Clean recycled waste wood is “mineralised” and used as a replacement for aggregates in a concrete mix, producing a durable material with an open matrix» Fire proof» Rot proof» Light weight» Resistant to wood boring insects

Forming Durisol Walling• Durisol is cast into wall form units - PFA• Uniform and consistent sizing (engineered finish)• 4 No sizes (170 – 365mm wide) - Lightweight

under CDM regs - only 8 units required per m2• Dry stacked without mortar from foundations• Use of high slump concrete fill guarantees void

free fill of forms• Easily altered on site• Units are self palletised - minimising site waste –

waste can be returned
