And the rea- son this year has been so exceptional is you, the mem- bers. The passion, energy and time you have given this year to accomplish our goals is amazing. You’ve worked and played hard as well as shared the joys and success- es of jobs well done. To know this, one only needs to look closely at the success of our Tea and Fashion Show. So much planning, beginning with Barbara Wright’s incredible job and continuing with all our mem- bers’ dedication to putting on such a successful event is awe inspiring. Then for all our members and guests to reap the joys of your job well done at the tea was so reward- ing. Also, every month, because of Marilyn Bittle’s lunch arrange- ments, we have such a festive surprise when we walk into the Senior Center for our General Meetings. This month Patty Big- gerstaff and her committee did a truly star-studded job of treating us to red, white and blue dis- plays for Memorial Day. Truly beautiful! The McGaugh blue-ribbon poet- ry writers were top-notch, as always. Thank you Karen Rus- sell for arranging our program of poets for us again. One could write for hours of all the projects that are being quiet- ly contributed by each member. And I wish I could. It was a beautiful, breezy, yellow-and-green afternoon." This is

how Abby Whitshank always begins the story of how she fell in

love with Red that day in July 1959. The Whitshanks are one

of those families that radiate togetherness: an indefinable, en-

viable kind of specialness. But they are also like all families, in

that the stories they tell themselves reveal only part of the pic-

ture. Abby and Red and their four grown children have accu-

mulated not only tender moments, laughter, and celebrations,

but also jealousies, disappointments, and carefully guarded

I am employed now for the last two days and

will be working minimal hours such as 2 to 4

hours per day, however that will make up the

difference needed for the rent starting in May.

Thank you for helping me and my family in this

current situation, we really appreciate it.

My name is Michelle L. and I was in need of

rental assistance for one month. I was in a dire

situation and unable to pay all my rent for the

month of April 2016. I lost my job in February of

2016 and was unable to obtain work until March

25, 2016. My husband is disabled and does

receive $1,146 a month for social security and I

was paying the balance of the rent out of my

pay. Since I was not working I was unable to

save all my rent due in April. I recently obtained

my two grandchildren ages 9 and 12 and have

great interest in sports and has en-

joyed one as a participant and spec-

tator. Has had the privilege to meet
