Many people visit during weekends due to its close proximity to Seoul; and the numerous cafes and seafood restaurants overlooking the West Sea. The island has several interesting sights such as Culture Street, the Doodle Pillar, Meeting Square, Good Harvest Square and many other squares that feature street performers and artists. You can also visit Play Hill, the island’s theme park, or take a boat cruise that goes around the island. Although young children are welcome, parents are advised that youngsters in strollers may have a difficult time navigating their way aboard and around the tour boats.
