an All-SoCon performer, while White came back from an early season injury to solidify the lineup. - Chattanooga was 14-7 when Ronrico returned fully to the playing rotation.- White and sophomore Greg Pryor are the incum-bents in the backcourt. Pryor started every game at the point as a freshman, while White served as a key reserve. - Seniors Martynas Bareika and Lance Stokes split starts alongside Mason in 2013-14 and both return this year. - Juniors Eric Robertson and Alex Bran are back in the backcourt mix. The two are 36.8 percent and 36.1 percent career 3pt shooters, respectively.- Jones’ SoCon Rankings: 18th in points (12.2), 9th in rebounding (6.2), 5th in FG% (53.5), tied for 8th in steals (1.2), tied for 5th in blocks (1.0) and 2nd in offensive rebounds (2.9).- Pryor tied for 13th in steals (1.0) a year ago in the league, while Bareika was 13th in 3pt made per game (1.7).

NEW FACES - Mason’s graduation creates quite a void, but Wade and his lieutenants look at the frontcourt as a strength. VCU transfer Justin Tuoyo gives the Mocs a defensive presence at the back of the press at 6’10” and a natural shot-blocker. - Sophomore Chuck Ester is a skilled transfer from East Mississippi C.C. He likely begins the year as the starting four.- Junior college All-American Duke Ethridge fits the Mason mold as a strong, athletically-gifted four man. He was also a top collegiate football prospect.- Look for Queens transfer Tre’ McLean to have a big impact on the wing. His length when combined with Jones is a perfect fit for Chaos. - Uber-athletic guard Shaq Preston is expected to make a strong impression on the defensive end.- Walk-on K.J. Bates provides depth at the one with strong shooting skills.

SCHEDULE NOTES - For the fourth time in the last four seasons, Chat-tanooga faces a Final Four team from the previ-ous year. This time it is Wisconsin. The last three: Kansas (11/15/12), Butler (11/15/11) and Kentucky (12/17/11).- There are 17 home games on the schedule. That’s the most since 18 in 2012-13.- Georgia’s visit on December 2 will be the first SEC opponent in McKenzie Arena since Tennessee on December 4, 2007. It’s the Bulldogs first game in the

Scenic City since the 1985 NIT (March 13).- There are five non-conference road games. Three of the five – Tennessee Tech (11/22), Kennesaw State (11/29) and Middle Tennessee (12/19) – are fewer than 115 miles from campus.- Of the non-conference schools, Middle Tennessee is the most frequent opponent as this year is the 61st meeting. UTC leads 32-28. - Hiwassee, Kennesaw State, Georgia, Montreat, Northern Kentucky and UAB return to the schedule from last season.- The Badgers, Robert Morris and ULM (possible opp.) are the only first-time opponents. - Montreat is coached by former Mocs guard Lincoln Walters (1995, ’96-98).- It has been more than 10 years since the Mocs have faced either Tennessee Tech or Lipscomb. The last time the Golden Eagles crossed paths with the Mocs was Nov. 11, 2001 (13 years). The most recent meeting with the Bison was Dec. 29, 2002 (12).- UAB is back in town for the first occasion since December 16, 1997.- The SoCon is a 10-team league after all the realignment shuffle. East Tennessee State and VMI return to the conference with Mercer joining them. That leads to an 18-game, round-robin schedule ensuring all 10 school meet each other home and away during the year.

HISTORY - Chattanooga has been the dominant program since joining the SoCon in 1977-78 after winning the 1977 NCAA Division II title.- UTC has won 28 championships in 37 seasons in the league including 10 regular-season (prior to division play starting in 1994-95), eight division and 10 tournament. Davidson is second during that span with 22, 12 of which are of the division variety. - The Mocs 20 regular-season/tourney titles are far and away the most through those 37 campaigns followed by Davidson (2 reg season/8 tourney) with 10 and East Tennessee State (re-entering the league in 2014-15) with nine (3 reg season/6 tourney).- Chattanooga has won a title of some kind in 19 of its 37 years in the SoCon.- In its 94th season, Chattanooga has had a winning record 52 times. In the 38th in the DI era, the Mocs have 28 plus-.500 ledgers.- The current all-time record is 1212-995 with a 684-446 mark in the DI era. For more history information, check the box on the right.
