BROKERAGE NEWSMoran Yacht & Ship were able to build on the success of early 2014 with a truly remarkable second half of the year. In brokerage alone, fourteen yachts were sold during this period with an average length of 133 Ft. (40.5m). These results are unmatched by any other brokerage over this period, demonstrating once again that Moran Yacht & Ship is the world leader in the sale and charter of quality yachts. Highlighting these sales is the 203 Ft. (62m) Feadship RASSELAS, the 182 Ft. (55.5m) Feadship ISSANA, the 164 Ft. (50m) Westport Harmony and the 147 Ft. (45m) Feadship MADSUMMER.

The sheer quantity of sales by Moran Yacht & Ship in 2014 might indicate a lowering of inventory or listings. This is not the case; owners looking to sell their yachts recognize and appreciate the results Moran Yacht & Ship has repeatedly delivered. Some notable new listings include the 200 Ft. (61m) Lurssen AURORA, the 186 Ft. (55m) Amels ENGELBERG, the 167 Ft. (51m) Codecasa EMELINA, the 150 Ft. (46m) Sanlorenzo REVE D’OR, the 126 Ft. (38.4m) Trinity DOROTHY ANN and the 121 Ft. Our new construction team continues to prove why they are considered the best in the world. The 312 Ft. (95.2m) Lurssen KISMET was delivered to her owner and has taken her place as one of the most impressive Superyachts in the world. KISMET is the second yacht Moran Yacht & Ship has built with this owner - both with the Lurssen shipyard. At the Palmer Johnson shipyard Project BLISS was completed and a happy owner took delivery of the 170 Ft. (52.4m) sport yacht APOLLO. The latest project to be announced by the new construction team is the 367 Ft. (112m) Lurssen PALO ALTO, this is sure to be a breathtaking yacht.

KISMET IN LONDONThe 312 Ft. (95.2m) KISMET

arrived in London this Fall and left

onlookers speachless.

In October, KISMET cruised up the

Thames to the Tower Bridge to avail

herself to the world in London. She

hosted an incredibly decadent party for

over 250 guests of the owner including

celebrities, athletes and dignitaries.

Built for an experienced owner by the

Moran Yacht & Ship new construction

team, KISMET is the replacement for

award-winning 223 Ft. (68m) Lurssen

that she was named after. With striking

exterior design by Espen Oeino and

elaborate interior design by Reymond

Langton Design.

She features accommodations for 12

guests in 6 opulent staterooms with a

private owners deck, full-service spa,

unique winter garden, full swimming pool

and helicopter landing capabilities.

KISMET will be available for charter

exclusively through Moran Yacht & Ship

this summer in the Mediterranean.

HAKVOORT SHIPYARDFamily owned & operated for over a century.

The storied Hakvoort Shipyard is located in Monnickendam, Holland and has come to represent an industry standard in quality, custom-built yachts. Originally established nearly a century ago, this shipyard has been passed down from generation to generation, maintaining the dedication to quality craftsmanship and a naval tradition that has served the Hakvoort owner’s so well.

The Moran Yacht & Ship New Construction Team has been involved in a number of notable projects at Hakvoort over the past 25 years, such as JEMASA, ALLEGRIA (ex. FLAMINGO DAZE), APOSTROPHE, as well as two vessels currently under construction, GOLDEN AGE and ZEUS. Each project has come to epitomize the Dutch standard of craftsmanship in the yachting industry. In 2014, APOSTROPHE won the Showboats Design Award for best full displacement yacht between 30 and 60 meters.

GOLDEN AGE and ZEUS will be the biggest yachts built at the iconic shipyard to date, and will certainly be standard bearers moving forward. GOLDEN AGE, due for delivery in 2015, will feature and exterior and interior from the drawing boards of Sinot Yacht Design. The design will be a classic yet contemporary style and she will accommodate 14 guests in 7 well appointed cabins. ZEUS is due for delivery in 2017 and will feature a masculine, explorer style exterior by Rene van der Velden and an interior by Sinot Yacht Design with accommodation for 12 guests in 6 staterooms.

Both GOLDEN AGE and ZEUS represent the next step for the Hakvoort shipyard and it is our opinion that they will certainly become iconic classics in the custom yacht-building world. HAPPINESS AWAITSALLEGRIA, which means “joy” or “happiness” in Italian, was built in Holland at the Hakvoort Shipyard. She measures 152 Ft. (46.3m) and sleeps 11 guests in 5 beautifully appointed en suite staterooms. With an impeccable interior designed by Glade Johnson, ALLEGRIA blends the best of soft contemporary and traditional elements. Her interior is spacious and elegant, finished with the rich hues and textures of carefully chosen exotic woods, fabrics, marbles and onyx. No expense has been spared in her upkeep and an experienced full-time crew led by Captain Craig Turnbull make her show like a brand new yacht.

Moran Yacht & Ship proudly offers this one of a kind megayacht for both sale and charter. ALLEGRIA’s price was just reduced $6.8 million from $26.75 million to $19.95 million. This massive reduction undoubtedly makes ALLEGRIA one of the most appealing custom motor yachts currently on the market.
