What muscles have to endure during high activity is easy to test: you hold a rubber band between your hands and pull it tight quickly. The band im-mediately vibrates strongly. It requires strength to absorb this vibration. The same happens when you tighten your thigh and calf muscles during sports. Uneven pistes while skiing, fast sprints in cycling and uneven terrain during trekking trigger strong vibrations. The musculature tries to absorb this vibration early at the expense of performance and fun during sport.

NEW: X-SOCKS® HELIXCOIL SYSTEM.

The HeliXCoil system from X-SOCKS® is the first system of its kind worldwide. The X-SOCKS® engineers have succeeded in seamlessly integrating two concentric, spiral pressure webs into the sock structure. These enclose the calf muscles from ankle to the knee. The pressure of the struts on the musculature is so finely applied that the muscle is effectively supported while blood circulation is not hindered.

MORE PERFORMANCE THROUGH BETTER BLOOD CIRCULATION AND COOLINGToo much pressure on the skin, as is often the case with compression, can displace the blood from the skin surface. This restricts the peripheral nutrient supply to the muscles and reduces cooling through sweat. The HeliXCoil system takes this performance into account. It is therefore composed of zones with specific pressure and pressure-free areas between the bars. The superiority of X-SOCKS® in terms of skin climate management reaches a new level with the HeliXCoil system.

BETTER MUSCLE CONTROL.LESS RISK OF INJURY.Those who love their sport or even take part in competitions want endurance and optimal control over their muscles. X-SOCKS® with the HeliXCoil system support lasting precision with every step and dynamic movement. The HeliXCoil System is also a clear plus when it comes to safety: a muscle that is able to perform longer is better protected against fatigue-related injuries.

INTELLIGENT SUPPORT FOR THE HUMAN ANATOMYIn the human muscle, several muscle fibers are combined into fiber bundles, enclosed by septa of strong connective tissue. Many of these bundles are in turn surrounded by connective tissue, the perimysium. Finally the muscle fascia, a very firm white tissue layer, surrounds these bundles. The HeliXCoil system reinforces this muscle structure, providing even more stability.

THE INNOVATIVE SWISS LEARN FROM THE ANCIENT ROMANSThe ancient Romans not only defeated the Greeks, they also defeated the early fatigue of the soldiers in order to master long and strenuous marches. Did they succeed in this intentionally? Who knows. In any case, the analysis of antique footwear of the Romans shows a lacing over the ankle. It not only fastened the shoe to the foot, but also enclosed a part of the calf muscles and reduced tiring vibrations. The innovative engineers at the Swiss think-tank X-SOCKS® have combined this with findings from bionic science to create the innovative HeliXCoil system.
