WINNER Marion Scrymgour (ALP, Arafura) Salary: $125,000, plus $20,716 as chairwoman of the Environment and Sustainable Development Committee. She was the chief executive of the Katherine West Health Board and would have earned a good salary, although not what she gets now. Before taking over the health board, Ms Scrymgour was a private health consultant with the federal and Territory governments, and earned more than she does now. WINNER Peter Styles (CLP, Sanderson) Salary: $125,000. Mr Styles was in the police force for more than 20 years. Mr Tollner was under-employed between losing his federal seat of Solomon in November 2007 and winning the NT seat of Fong Lim in August 2008. WINNER Willem Westra van Holthe (CLP, Katherine) Salary: $125,000. As a police sergeant in Katherine, he would have earned $98,000 a year, plus overtime. WINNER Gerry Wood (Ind, Nelson) Salary: $125,000, plus $20,716 as chairman of the Council of Territory Co-operation. Before being elected in 2001, Mr Wood had three jobs — a small, rural block-maintenance operation, part-time sales assistant at the Howard Springs hardware store and president of Litchfield Shire Council. Despite all this work, he earned only about $55,000 a year.
