Apéritif __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
So here is where we start your journey at Pod. If you wish to come in and try everything we have on offer, then here is a good place to start. Here we stimulate the senses and get the appetite ready for what’s about to come. Why not choose something to get the mouth watering, and the senses tingling. Enjoy. Pimm’s No. 1 Cup 14
This is wonderfully refreshing served with lemonade, mint and cucumber. Campari 12
Not for everybody, known for its bitter orange flavour. Why not try it with soda, or in a classic negroni. Lillet Rouge 14
This is a predominantly merlot blend, with natural sweet fruit liqueurs. Try it on the rocks or with tonic water. Aperol Spritzer 15
Aperol over ice, topped with sparkling wine, soda & a twist of orange. A zippy, aniseed, fresh drink. Sherry A nice dry sherry is a great way to start any meal. The flavours are very distinct, light, nutty, fresh and complex. Why not take a walk through the wonderful world of sherry.

MOUNT MAJURA VINEYARD WINES _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
THE PEOPLE The winery is run by Frank van de Loo head wine maker, Fergus Mcghie sales and marketing, and Kate Hibberson cellar door manager. THE VINEYARD The Mount Majura Vineyard covers 9 hectares and is situated on an outcrop of red soil on the north-eastern slopes of Mount Majura, just 11 kilometres from the centre of our wonderful city. The site was first identified by Edgar Riek, a pioneer of the Canberra wine district. The vines were planted in 1988, making Mount Majura the first vineyard within the ACT. The vineyard is situated very close to Canberra itself, sloping from an altitude of between 660m to 700m.
THE SOIL The vineyard’s soils are unique and have a volcanic origin. They are red clay loam soils rich in iron and contain limestone as well as the volcanic rhyolite. The clay content and limestone base mean that, for established vines, irrigation is used as a tool to maximise quality, not yield. Having this unique site, our winemaking philosophy is clearly centred on expressing this terrior.
THE WINE At Mount Majura Vineyard, they only want to make wines that are unique and interesting - because no other vineyard is quite the same as theirs. So of course, they only use grapes grown at Mount Majura. No two vintages are ever the same. In the winery, the aim is to capture and express the quality of the grapes. They don’t make wine to a price or a style. They make the best wine possible. It’s no way to make more than a drop in the ocean, but it’s the drop we want to drink and hope you’ll also enjoy!
“Just as your life is too short to drink ordinary wine, so ours are too short to make it. “

NATURAL / ORANGE WINES _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
“Now these wines are something a little different. The ‘natural’ process means they are made with minimal sulphates, un-fined and generally a little cloudy. Some whites also have some extended
skin contact which can leave them with an orange hue. This also provides them with a bit more depth and makes them great with food. This is a wine style, which is gaining quite some momentum. If you like something new and a little bit different these wines are well worth a
taste.”
