Global Forest Watch (GFW) is an independent online forest
monitoring platform launched in 2014 to empower forest
stakeholders with free access to timely and high resolution data
about the current status of forests and recent forest
change. They use satellite technology to monitor tree cover
loss worldwide.
NOOTREES | SINGAPORE
NooTrees makes a range of bamboo-made toilet paper,
facial tissues, and wet wipes - helping reduce the demands on both forests
and land, as bamboo takes less time to grow.
They have also launched ‘Bum Bams’, a bamboo
based diaper that is 90% compostable.

GROASIS | HOLLAND
The Groasis Ecological Water Saving Technology is based on the principle of "more water in, less water out”. This affordable innovation uses 90% less water when compared to drip irrigation
and provides a unique combination of planting a tree
while at the same time growing vegetables. Groasis has been
working towards the reforestation of 2 billion hectares
of wasteland.
PUR Projet develops large-scale agroforestry, reforestation and forest
conservation projects with small-scale fair trade and
organic farmers.
Since 2008, They have developed more than 50
agroforestry, reforestation, and forest conservation
community projects in Asia, Africa, South America, North
America, Europe and Oceania.
PIONEERSShubhendu Sharma, Founder and Director of Afforestt, makes use of The Miyawaki Technique that creates native, natural forests, which grow 10 times faster than traditional forests.
I work with different stakeholders from individuals to businesses and governments to to help turn urban and peri-urban spaces into natural forests. We can build a man-made forest that can spread over acres and acres of area, or it could fit in a small space - as small as your house garden.

The Orangutan Information Centre’s
Community Agroforestry, Reforestation and Education (CARE)
encourages local farmers to plant timber trees in farmland. The program has reached over 1000
farmers directly, with an indirect impact on 10,000 more people. More than 1
million trees have been planted, and almost 1000
hectares of forest have been restored!
