Project Overview
Project Description This project consists of traffic capacity improvements and access
management changes for Narcoossee Road from SR 417 to SR 528 in Orange County, Florida
Widening the roadway from 4 to 6 lanes for approximately 4 miles
Three 11-foot lanes in each direction
26-foot median
4-foot bike lanes
Additional New Left Turn Lanes
Signal Improvements
Additional turn lane capacity added along Narcoossee Road
A 10-foot shared-use path along the west side of Narcoossee Road from Lake Nona Boulevard to south of North Lake Parkway (approximately 1.61 miles in length)
As part of this project, a new 36” reclaimed water line (RWL) will be installed within the median

Median Opening
Proposed Shared-Use Path (SUP) The proposed SUP will be a trail connector that serves as part of a transportation
circulation system to support recreational activities
Connecting existing trails at Lake Nona Blvd, Moss Park, and north of Lake Nona Club Drive
Existing utility easements and Lake Nona owned properties will be used to provide a
10-foot trail at the existing sidewalk without relocated existing light poles

Bike Rest & Repair Stations A new bike repair station will be added on Lake Nona Blvd. at an existing
bench and sidewalk to allow users to perform routine maintenance while on
the shared-use path
A new bench and trash receptacle will be installed along the path on
Narcoossee Road
Proposed Decorative Wall A six-foot tall decorative wall will be constructed along the existing chain link
fence at Lake Nona Golf & Country Club (approximately 4,800’)
The wall will be concrete with a stucco finish and ficus vines
This proposed wall will also be supplemented with new landscaping which will
help to enhance the aesthetics of the trail and neighborhood security

New landscaping will be provided within the areas where we are widening to
the inside
Proposed landscaping includes Crape Myrtles and Sabal Palms within the median
Proposed Landscaping
Landscaping will also be provided within the shared-use path and decorative
wall impacted slope areas
Proposed landscaping includes Ficus Vines, Sabal Palms, Live Oaks, Native Shrubs,
Pines, and Cedars
