The City of Cape Town:

The city of Cape Town was initially discovered by the Portuguese explorer Bartolomeu Dias, despite all the credit that seems to still go to the Dutch explorer Jan Van Riebeek.

This spectacular city is nestled on the shores of Table Bay, with the Dutch East Indian company being given credit for developing this bustling city into what it is today.

Cape Town is the second largest city after Johannesburg, being honoured as the capital for parliament.

What makes this city so beautiful ? Cape Town includes breath-taking views of mountains, oceans and culture.

Explore every crevice of Table Mountain, the Atlantic or Indian Ocean, or visit taste the flavours that this city has to offer you.

The History of the V&A Waterfront The Victoria and Alfred Waterfront is ideally located

in the heart of Cape Town’s historical centre.

Considered a prime tourist destination for local and international visitors, you are greeted with spectacular views of Table Mountain and plenty of activities to participate in.

When visiting this bustling area of Cape Town, you can expect plenty of shopping to be done. Numerous high-end retail stores such as Guess and Louis Vuitton call the V&A home.

Once upon a time, South Africa was under the rule of Britain. As such, The Victoria and Alfred Harbour was constructed by Queen Victoria’s second son – Prince Alfred.

The first basin was subsequently named after himself, with the second being named after Queen Victoria; hence the name.
