Hiring is a team sport and not about individual glory or a number game. Even if one social media profile or a post of a recruiter from among a team is off-brand it has a ripple effect on all other recruiters who may be having consistent profiles on social media. Therefore auditing your social media profile is crucial for the success of your organization.
As boundary spanners, the talent scouts are vital to how new hires and future employees perceive the brand and demonstrate active, communicative behaviors that improve your organization’s abilities to engage, from within.
Like the recruiters, employees who are the first point of contact, be it a customer representative executive or a clerk in an organization have critical roles to play in projecting and promoting the right messages for the organization. Internal communicators can facilitate the engagement and infuse credibility and clarity to a brand’s perception.
The world of social hiring has evolved. While Linkedin has the widest reach, Facebook calls the shots on reputation. Facebook tops content sharing and employees love to share (if they get the opportunity) about work-life, jobs and company news. Social networks and careers sites are the most important in the communication mix.
Aligning and matching expectations of candidates with what your organization stands for is the best way to gain trust and improve your hiring value.
