THINGS THAT MAKE SATELLITE DIRECT A GOOD PRODUCT

Satellite Direct is one of those products that, on the surface, seem to solve a lot of your

problems. It seems that it will provide you a solution to your monthly cable fees’ woes. However, that isn’t the question. The question is if the product is a wise purchase?

It depends on what you purchase the product for. Does it stream 3500 channels? No, not really. Though it doesn’t stream 3500, it streams a considerable number of channels: 1500+.

The problem, however, is that none of these seem to stream any major channel as you will find in our Satellite Direct review here. Most of the channels that you get are local channels, weather feeds and overall channels that you, most probably, aren’t buying it for. DTH and cable may cost a little bit but then, you get what you pay for, or so they say.

It also need an Internet connection. This means that you can’t watch HD streams, or anything in good quality unless you have a very good Internet connection. Even if you do so, you will hit your bandwidth limit pretty quickly because of video content being heavy in size. One way or the other, you end up paying a monthly fee.

Having said that, if you know what you are purchasing and are, instead, looking for these channels only, I would not hesitate in recommending the product. For it’s price, it is a good product. You just need to set your

expectations right.

The product, in itself, does what it says on the tin. The problem, perhaps, is the hype surrounding the number of channels, the quality, the price, etc. It is a herculean task - almost impossible, actually! - to find a “review” that is an actual review. Most of them are biased and concentrate on the positive aspects of the product.

Internet is a vast, vast medium. There are a number of forums that can help you. In different markets, there are a number of “review sites” that are known for their excellent, to-the-point, thorough and unbiased reviews. A person who has some experience with a product can help you out.

Finally, believe in your own research. Try and find out the “details” of the company that produces and promotes these products. Find out their phone numbers and if possible, call them. Experience will build up with research and it’ll help you in the future.
