Why are we going?

How are we sharpening?

• A dynamic definition of Ekkelsia - “Church”

• A diverse group who have been specifically chosen and called out by God, adopted and restored to Him based on the completed work of Christ on their behalf, sealed and continually filled by the Holy Spirit, selected for a unified, collaborative purpose, developing meaning and maturity through understanding their suffering and loss as they Represent and Resemble God’s call and character through stewardship and service for His Glory Alone.

The Foundation of Adoption: “The deepest and strongest foundation of adoption is located not in the act of humans adopting humans, but in God adopting humans. And this act is not part of his ordinary providence in the world; it is at the heart of the gospel. Galatians 4:4-5 is as central a gospel statement as there is: “But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.”

• As God’s Adopted sons and daughters the realities of abandonment, pain, suffering, loss, trauma and adversity do not need to define who they are. They can develop M.A.T.U.R.I.T.Y. using 8 strategies to develop meaning in and through understanding pain, adversity, suffering and trials.
