Whitehorse City Council is considering the future of the Whitehorse Centre. As part of this process Council has made publicly available the Whitehorse Centre Business Case and has engaged an independent organisation to conduct consultation on the three options being considered for the centre:

An April Evening with the BandThe City of Whitehorse Band will perform with featured guest artistes the “demoiselles” with Jo To on double bass and vocals, Lisette Payet on piano and vocals and Kelly Auty vocals. Brian Kemp will again lead the Band in this concert consisting of music from film, stage and big bands. Proudly supported by the City of Whitehorse.

The Glass Soldier – The Story of an ANZAC in Music

Narrated by Derek Guille and combined with a world class brass ensemble and percussionists including the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and outstanding vocalists, this is the story of Nelson Ferguson, a young artist from Ballarat, who became a stretcher bearer in WW1. In 1918 Ferguson’s eyes and lungs were damaged at Villers Bretonneux and on his return from war he went on to make a significant contribution to

society. In 1968, by the miracle of science, his eyesight was restored. This is a concert that will stir your soul.

Michael Tuahine leads a cast of six actor/musicians in this yarn drawing on the life of the gentleman balladeer, peppered with old-time hits from Johnny Cash and Marty

Robbins to Jimmy’s own number one hit Royal Telephone. You’ll laugh, cry, dance and maybe even sing along with this inspiring tale.

As an overnight couch-surf turns into an extended stay, 4000 Miles unearths a surprising parallel between these two generations in this emotionally

compelling drama. This compassionate and unsentimental play explores the funny, frustrating and ultimately life-changing relationship between a grandson learning to face his life, and his formidable grandmother.

The Glass Soldier – The Story of an ANZAC in Music

Narrated by Derek Guille and combined with a world class brass ensemble and percussionists including the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and outstanding vocalists, this is the story of Nelson Ferguson, a young artist from Ballarat, who became a stretcher bearer in WW1. In 1918 Ferguson’s eyes and lungs were damaged at Villers Bretonneux and on his return from war he went on to make a significant contribution to

society. In 1968, by the miracle of science, his eyesight was restored. This is a concert that will stir your soul.
