OUR LADY OF THE CAPE SHRINE

Founded in 1888, and located in Trois-Rivières, Our Lady of the Cape Shrine is Canada’s largest Marian shrine. Located on the banks of the St. Lawrence River, it welcomes more than 350,000 pilgrims annually. Visitors can admire the historical chapel inaugurated in 1720, considered as Canada’s oldest stone church. A large modern basilica was erected in 1964. Its stained glass windows are magnificent and the Casavant organ counts 5425 pipes. The spacious grounds bordering the river inspire peace and tranquility and form part of the religious and spiritual heritage of the Province of Quebec.

Saint Joseph’s Oratory of Mount Royal is recognized as the largest shrine in the world dedicated to Saint Joseph; a jewel of Canadian history! A haven of peace and spirituality in the heart of Montréal, Saint Joseph’s Oratory offers concerts, exhib-its, religious encounters and celebrations, in the spirit of its founder Saint Brother André. In a unique setting of natural beauty, this pilgrimage centre offers a large variety of services for an enriched cultural and spiritual experience.

The Shrine of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré, located only 20 minutes from Quebec City, welcomes more than a million visitors annually. For over 350 years, people of all ages have been gathering at this shrine dedicated to Saint Anne, the grandmoth-er of Jesus. Discover its extraordinary history through numerous artistic master- pieces, paintings, mosaics, stained-glass windows, stone and wooden sculptures, etc. Liturgical celebrations, including daily Mass, are offered. At the Saint Anne Museum, discover the rich history of devotion to Saint Anne. Admire many works of art, as well as the largest collection of ex-votos in North America.

SHRINE OF SAINTE-ANNE- DE-BEAUPRÉ

Operated by the Capuchin Fathers, the Saint Anthony’s Hermitage of Lac-Bouchette is a place of pilgrimage known for the quality of its spiritual approach and its beautiful natural environment on the shores of Lac Ouiatchouan near Lac Saint-Jean. From the Hermitage begins the 215 km Notre-Dame Kapatakan hiking trail, the “Compostela” of Quebec. Journey on a legendary path dotted with beauty, surprises and interior discoveries – stepping in the footsteps of Our Lady.
