carton contains the completingbe used with Ihe bosic unit No. 6-6211.ASSEMBLY AND MOUNTING

Remove all parIs from the cartons an d place ona cleo n flal surface. All loose parts ar e identifiedin Figure 1.

1. Mounl the top an d side extension plates asshown in Figure 2. Secure in place with the bolts,washers an d nuls provided.

2. Install the mounting irame assembly by insert-the end with Ihe (our bolt holes into the blower

housing frame. The orms should extend upward fromIhe blower nousing as shown in Fig. 2. Use the boltsan d nuts prOVided 10 secure in place.

3. Loosen the two %;:" bolts holding the rear rollers.Slide the roller bock Clnd insert the on the shroudassembly inlo the roller grooves. Adjust the rollers forward to fit snug against the shroud ring. Tighten thebolts, the shroud should turn freely. See 2.

in the right side of the mounting frame assembly. Theassembly is held in place with a washer and ahairpin colter, items 9 and 14, see the exploded viewdrawing. Stretch Ihe spring that is connected to theidlt!r arm an d hook the loose end into hole provided in the blower housing frome.

5. The "\I" belt must be wrapped around the pulley before sliding it on the drive shaft. Slide thepulley on to the drive shaft. Do not tighten the pulleyset screw at this lime.

6. Attach the crank and support assembly to theblower housing line up Ihe holss in the cronk supportwith the two holes in the blower housing an d the twoholes in the bracket. Two reinforcing ore u ~ e d 10 support Ihe assembly 10 the blower housing. On eIs placed dirwly under the bolt heads and the other

placed on the inside of tne blower housing, see FIg.2 an d the exploded .... iew drewing.

Insert the crank rod through Ine hole in the cranksupport bracket, and retain it with the washer an dhairpin coffer.

7. Remove the B,Yi inch long bolt from the mounting frame. Roll Ihe unit up to the tracior and alignthe first hole of the tractor frame with the hole inthe mounting frame. Insert the bolt through a spacer,frame, and spacer as shown in Figure 3.

8. Place the drIve belt in ih e inner groove ofthe attachment clUlch, wrap the belt around theidler pulleys os shown in Figure 3. NOTE: Adjust

blower drive pulley in or ou t to align with the idlerpulleys, tighten set screw.

9. Slide the lift rod into the lift tube. Fasten thelifl lube over the pin located at the lower rear cenler

FJgure 3of the blower housing. It is held with % washer and?(, x l " coHer pin.

10. Insloll lift rod into the top hole of the bottomtrador lift lever arm. The arm with the lift coble attached. Secure with the hairpin cotter.

NOTE: Two spacers are positioned between the idlerpulleys and the clutch arm, one inch long (#6309)and one Ya inch long (#7672). The Ya" spacersare removed for tradors models previous to 1968. Besure the blower drive pulley is adjusted to alignwilh the idler pulleys.

CABLE WRAPPING INSTRUCTIONS:1. Face Shroud, Port No. 5520 to the right. (See

Fig. 3.)2. Thread Cable, Port No. 4795, en d "A" up un

der the Double Speed Nut, Part No. 6433, an dtighten screws iust enougk to retain cable.

3. Pull cable around the shroud and thread endB" of cable through hole # I then back throughhole #2 in Crank, Part No. 6413, Clnd then wrapseven (7) complete lurns in direction shown inFigure 4. Finish lost lurn on lop of crank. Pullcable en d "1.$" behind the hook on the wrapperClssembly and thread up under Ihe double speednut. Retighten screws just enough to retain cable.

Face shroud forward and grip bath ends ofcable with and pull until cable is fight.Tighten screws in nul securely.

The adjustable shroud allows the operator to control the direction the snow may be thrown by turn-

C UTION:MANUAL CLUTCH Engage dutch gently, do not

snap into engagement.ELECTRIC CLUTCH Be especially careful after the

blower has set outdoors after use. The auger couldbe frozen to the housing. If this condition exists itcould cause damage to the dutch or belt. Check augerbefore starting, it should rotate

Always shut off engine before making an yment or lubrication.

After the first hour of use recheck all bolts, nuts,an d securely. Check chains andbelt children an d pets away while

there may be rocks or metal in the snowwhich could be thrown forward or out the chute.Never permit anyone to stand in front of blowerwhen is running.

When snow drifts are high and hard-packed, theside plate extensions may be removed, to prevent thetractor from being pulled sideways into the drift.LUBRICATION

The drive chain should be oiled with a light gradeof machine oil. All other bearings an d movable portsshould be oiled frequently. In storing the SnowThrower, it is advisable to coat the auger with a

machine oil to prevent rust.
