What's For Lunch?

In our book, we are going to talk about healthy things to eat for lunch. By reading our book, we hope that you can make better decisions on what you are eating for lunch.

Salad

Salad is a healthy choice to eat for lunch. It contains vitamin C and vitamin E. Salad also has antioxidants which helps your body perform certain functions.

Apples and Grapes

Apples contain vitamin C. They are also low in calories and are a good source of both soluble and insoluble fiber. Grapes are good for you because they are rich in potassium, low in salt, and give you energy.

Milk

Milk is good for you because it's a good source of calcium and vitamin D. It also gives you strong bones, strong teeth and good health. Milk also has a good source of protein and phosphorus.

Wheat Thins

Wheat thins are a healthy snack. They are whole wheat which is good for you and they are reduced fat. There are many variations of Wheat Thins such as Honey, Ranch and Parmesan Basil

Bagel

Bagels give you energy to make it through the rest of the day. If you put butter on your bagel then your making the bagel unhealthy. If you put something like turkey on your bagel then you are eating a healthy lunch.

Peppers and Celery

Peppers have many vitamins for example, they have Vitamin A which are good for your eyes, Vitamin K which strengthens the bones, and Vitamin C which helps boost your immune system. Celery also has a lot of Vitamin K and C. Celery also has potassium, iron and calcium.

Snacks

Usually snacks aren't good for you but here are some healthy choices of snacks. Granola Bars and blueberry mu!ns give you energy and the grains you need on a daily basis. Granola bars are also a good on-the-go snack. 100-Calorie Packs are the snacks that we love in only 100 calories.

Sandwiches

Chicken and turkey sandwiches are a good meal for lunch. Chicken supplies protein for building and maintaining muscle. Turkey is naturally low in fat. Turkey is a good source of Vitamin B which gives you a good source of energy.

Water

Your body is made up of 60 to 70 percent of water. Water transports oxygen to your cells, removes waste, and protects your joints and organs. When you drink water, your skin texture improves. Drinking water helps maintain digestive health.
