Fish fans are fish fans to the core – they’re more likely to be

researching anything water or fish related, from water sports

(surfing, sailing, swimming, even fishing!) to seafood restaurants to

the movie Finding Nemo. They’re also more inclined to be of Asian

ethnicity, be tea drinkers, and work in the travel / hospitality industry.

Dogs (and cats!) are the most common pets in America by far– thus

their owners are tough to differentiate. Still, some notable findings:

Dog lovers are 11 times more interested in mattress pads (a

reminder of one of the only cons of dogs – house training!), 19 times

more into barbequeing, 36 times more into Dr. Phil, and 22 times

more into yoga (a Zen bunch!).

Cat fans are especially ambitious and dressed to impress. They’re

more likely to be interested in business travel, as well as apparel and

accessory shopping (for example, they’re 54 times more likely to be

shopping for sunglasses!). A must attend event for feline fans?

Lollapalooza - they're 60 times more likely to be researching it.

Refined and talkative, bird enthusiasts tend to revel in their social

lives– both online or offline. They’re likely to have a soft spot for

beautiful gardens and outdoor areas. Also on their list of favorite

things: classical and latin music, diamonds and jewelry, astrology,

collectables, and…the Angry Birds app!

Our study of reptile researchers revealed two major characteristics

predictive of adoration for these scaly, cold-blooded creatures: a

passion for science, and a passion for meat (either eating it or

hunting it!) The carnivorous aspect makes sense given the live

feedings many reptile pets require.
