Dear Reader,

The message from “To kill a mockingbird” is to be brave, courageous. I chose this theme because the book revolved around taking chances. Dill showed bravery by running away from home. He was courageous in going out in the world alone. He hoped his absence from home would encourage his mother to care for him. In the end, Dill’s mother became worried about his whereabouts. Some challenges Dill faced were stealing his mother’s money, walking, and taking the bus alone to the Finch’s house. My perspective of the novel “To Kill A Mockingbird” is very upright; it takes bravery and courage to prove your point. I would read it again.

Dear Mom, If you haven’t noticed, I have ran away from

home. You were not paying me any attention, so I figured you would not notice if I left. I will feel more appreciated if you showed me more affection, rather then your new husband. I am writing this letter to let you know that I am fine. I have made my way to Maycomb. If you need me I will be at Mr. Finch’s house.

-Love Dill
