What is a catalog?

• Catalog: a set of requirements revised every two years outlining what it takes to get a degree

• When you enrolled at UT, you were placed into a catalog –probably 06-08 or 08-10

What makes 10-12 different?

• Changes to the University Core

• Changes to Liberal Arts Requirements

• Changes to the Economics Major

• New courses approved for 10-12 Core

• These courses will grandfather back to the 08-10 catalog

• However, any courses removed from 08-10 will not count for 10-12

• M 408M is not required

• ECO 341K is required

• A total of 28 hours of Economics is required

• You can switch in Fall 2010

• Catalog change requests are processed by the Economics Advisors & the Liberal Arts Student Division in GEB 2.200

What about ECO 420K?

• M 408M is no longer a pre-requisite

• Even if you stay in your current catalog, you can take ECO 420K without completing M 408M first– M408M must still be completed before graduation

for 08-10 & earlier
