What is your “Why”?

Page 2: What is Your "Why"?

Sometimes the reason is “I just don’t have anyone to delegate to.”

But is that really true? REALLY?

(Here’s a recent post to help you with this.)

Do you resist delegating?

It pays to know

Sometimes the reason is “I don’t know what to delegate.”

Well, here’s some help for that too!

Page 4: What is Your "Why"?

But WHY?

Once we work through those two obstacles, we may still feel resistance. One question I find that helps many clients break through is, “WHY are you doing this activity?”Let’s explore some of the answers I receive.

Page 5: What is Your "Why"?

The Stress Reliever.

I find doing this activity is a stress reliever.

If a task genuinely gives you energy and relieves stress, it’s time to evaluate when you do it.

If you find yourself procrastinating or stopping something important to do this activity, you may need to re-evaluate.

The “Quick Win”

It’s so simple, I don’t really need to think about it, so I can get a “quick win”.

This can be an effective way of dealing with quick tasks so you can move on to other, more important activities. Just be sure the “quick win” doesn’t overtake the important and urgent tasks.

Page 7: What is Your "Why"?

I like doing it. It reminds me of when I was “in the trenches.”Key point – you are no longer in the trenches! This task may be familiar and easy, but that’s not a valid reason for continuing to do it.

“Those Were the Good Ol’ Days”

The Confidence-Booster

I’m good at it – so I get a confidence boost before I start some tougher tasks.

Confidence boosts are great, but again, this may not be a valid reason for doing the task. Confidence will be attained by completing tasks that will take you toward your goals!

Isn’t it time to let go?

You have a finite amount of time each day to accomplish your goals. When you are able to focus only on the tasks that only you can do, you are much further down the path of accomplishment.

Now what’s your “Why”?

Really examine your motivation behind the tasks you complete each day.How will you determine what to continue doing? What tasks will benefit you the most?
