Symptoms of FibromyalgiaBesides persistent pain some people have even experienced numbness and tingling, cognitive dysfunction, trouble in swallowing along with irregularity in bladder and bowel movement. These are not the only symptoms the patients suffer from. Stress related conditions such as anxiety, depression or posttraumatic disorder may comorbid in Fibromyalgia patients.

Since the symptoms of Fibromyalgia are not only confined to pain, Fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS), an alternative term has widely been used, that is inclusive of joint stiffness, debilitating fatigue and sleep disturbance as well. So if you have been changing sides just to welcome some sleep but ended up cursing your neighbor instead, you might as well check in if you have FM symptoms.

A review conducted in 2007 classifies Fibromyalgia affected individuals in group of four.

1. "extreme sensitivity to pain but no associated psychiatric conditions" (may respond to medications that block the 5-HT3 receptor)

2. "fibromyalgia and comorbid, pain-related depression" (may respond to antidepressants)

3. "depression with concomitant fibromyalgia syndrome" (may respond to antidepressants)

4. "fibromyalgia due to somatization" (may respond to psychotherapy)

This existence of subtypes is due to difference In psychological and autonomic nervous system profiles of individual.

Atlas Orthogonal (AO) therapy helps to reactivate body’s natural healing ability. Being a pain-free and non-invasive approach, it makes precise adjustments to the atlas bone of fibromyalgia patients. Although ‘no pain no gain’ seems like a farfetched solution but AO therapy provides for long-lasting care for the patient, liberating fibromyalgia symptoms.www.atlasspinalcenter.com/fibromyalgia
