For Our Guests
Becoming a Christian...We believe that it is by grace that we are saved
through our response of faith, believing that Jesus is the Son of God, that He died to take the penalty of our sins on Himself, and that He was raised from the dead on the third day by the power of God. God calls people to believe in Jesus as their Savior, repent of sin in their life, make a confession of faith that Jesus is Lord and be joined to Christ and added to His church by being immersed (baptized) in His name. Having made this response of faith to God, all sin is forgiven and we receive the gift of God's Holy Spirit to live in us and to empower us to live for Jesus. All those who come to faith in Him may request immersion at any time.
Becoming a Member at Westside...All believers, who by faith in Jesus
have been baptized through immersion for forgiveness of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit, may place their membership at Westside. You may express your desire to one of our elders or ministers, or mark the appropriate space on our visitor card. Members here are under the spiritual care of our shepherds and committed to service and full participation with the family of God at this congregation.
Responding...You may request immersion (baptism), re-commit your life, or
seek prayers on your behalf by going forward during the time of response or by contacting an elder, a minister, or any member of this congregation at any time.
Communion...Communion at Westside is open to all believers who have
gathered with us to honor Jesus.

Journey Groups—Our next student-led small group is TONIGHT (4/23) in room #604 at the church building! Our groups will meet twice a month and the theme for this semester is Not a Fan. Our students will be challenged to become completely committed followers of Jesus instead of just members of his fan club. If possible, please bring a small donation to help pay for dinner and/or snacks.
SoCal Teen Camp “Arise"—Registration is now open for SoCal Teen Camp 2017! The dates for camp are July 16-22. The early bird rate of $270 ends tomorrow, April 24. To register, pick up a paper application at Guest Services or in room #604. Online registration is also available at socalteencamp.org. Scholarships may be available for students in need.
Grad Banquet—We will be honoring all of our graduating high school seniors on Friday, May 12 from 6-8p.m. in the Activity Center. Starting next week, you can visit the class of 2017 table in the foyer area to write a note of blessing and encouragement to each senior. These will be presented to our students at our Grad Banquet. If you would like to attend the Grad Banquet, please RSVP to Bryan Fojtasek ([email protected] or 831-4460). We will need lots of volunteers to help make this a special evening for our graduates and their families.
Springfest 2017—Springfest is a weekend youth conference for junior high and high school students from across California. We come together to worship God, encourage one another, and serve in our local community. This year’s theme is Legacy, and our main speaker is Jack Williamson from Conejo Valley Church of Christ. GriefShare will begin again on Sunday, June 25, from 10:30-12:00p.m. in room #520. Facilitated by Pam Findley, GriefShare is a 13-week combined class and support group for those who have lost loved ones. The meetings consist of a DVD and time of discussion, during which valuable tools and support are provided for those walking through the process of grief. Many people have found GriefShare to be a helpful way to begin putting their lives back together after the loss of a loved one. This class is open to Westside members and individuals from the community as well. For further information, call the church office (831-4460).
The monthly Men’s Breakfast will be on Saturday, May 6. Coffee and fellowship will begin at 7a.m., and breakfast will start at 8a.m., in room #521.
