LA TIMES MIXED-USE REDEVELOPMENT Costa Mesa, CA

The design envisions the existing production building revitalized as a creative office, retail and fitness use with a new face towards South Coast Drive. To the East, a new 6-story office building and structured parking with a linear park space featuring outdoor amenities ties all 3 structures together. This plan retains the existing Central Plant and reserves a 4-acre parcel to the north for future commercial or residential development.

The buildings are designed to maximize natural daylighting to all classroom spaces and reduce overall campus energy consumption.
