Information about Zoom to Help You Prepare to Join the Meeting

A device (laptop, desktop, smartphone, or tablet) with an internet connection and a working camera and

microphone is necessary to fully participate. Zoom is best experienced using a computer. Phone numbers will be

available for people who wish to join by telephone (audio only) for our Fall Gathering.

Users do not need a Zoom account to attend a meeting, but participants must have either downloaded the Zoom software (desktop or laptop) or app (mobile devices):

Apple AppStore for iPhone and iPad

Google PlayStore for Android phones and tablets

Computer (laptop/desktop, Chromebook) uses your browser to access Zoom (works with Internet Explorer

10 or higher, Microsoft Edge 38.14393, Google Chrome 53.0, Safari 10.0, Firefox 49.0 or higher). You may set

up a free account if you wish at zoom.us (an email address is required to set up an account), but it is not

required.

View a video on joining a meeting: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362193-How-Do-I-Join-A-

Meeting

You can join a Zoom test meeting at any time on your computer or mobile device to familiarize yourself with

Zoom and test your equipment. If you don't have Zoom installed, follow the prompts to download and install

Zoom. Zoom needs to access your camera and microphone, so you may need to follow the prompts to allow

permission for your camera and microphone to be used during the meeting (they turn off when you leave the

meeting). Test meeting info here: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/115002262083-Joining-a-Test-

Meeting
